I don't recall the "A" issue unless at the beginning of a sentence. "I" is the only one I no of since it is a proper noun. ;}  |

No I don't remember being tought that. Only the letter I, as I recall.Unless A, is the first word in the sentance you don't capitalize it.  |

I know what you mean. When my children were in school and we helped with their homework, we found out that a lot had changed. We had to meet with teachers alot just to be able to help at home and not confuse our child. Even the math methods had changed. Good post, brings back memories! CORA |

yeah i was taught that as well, but i mostly think that its there way to get you to grips with writing and the funtimentels of letters, what i did hate was when you were first learning to write you had to write inbetween these two lines which here massive, then they gave you these peices of paper to write in and the lines were like microscopic, and then in the next year they went back to the bigger ones, then they changed it back to the small ones, then it was like that all through the years changing back and forth............<Python>  |

I learned all that stuff back in Kindergarten..thats waaaay too far back for me. I dont think Ive ever heard that before though..thats a little strange. =/  |
