if your parents think you are responsible enough for a hamster, then who are we to say anything. i do not know what happened before, but I am sure it isnt as bad as you make it seem, and if it is...well then, sorry about that. take good care of the hamster and love it![]() ![]() |

with the hissing maybe she smells the dog on ur hands... i just got a hamster also...he wasn't friendly at first either..it takes time for them to learn to trust...just work with her everyday...when putting ur hand in her cage go slowly..then softly touch her back u want her to get use to u...if u can try not to go directly at her, towards her face...touch her side her back ..after awhile she'll learn to trust u then u can pick her up..rt now she's probably scared she's in a new place...just have patients..took me a week before i was able to pick me up..now he begs for me to take him out of his cage...lol hope everything works out....i know how u feel with the dog...I once had another hamster that got out and my dog and 2 cats had it pinned behind a bookcase when i got home from school...never did figure how the hamster got out...I have another story about hamsters..lol..its a sad story...my mom when she was younger had a hamster and it had babie well while my grandmother was cleaning house she thought she'd suck up the litter that was around the cage but by accident she sucked the babie up into the vaccum!!...and by the time she got the bag open they had suffacted....my grandmother was so upset about that....so theres another thing keep vaccums away...lol..I do hope everthing works out...hamster are so cute...lol Luv~ ![]() |
