"When one door closes another one opens"
At least that is what I'm hopin
Then from the corner of my eye I spy those few
You know 'em, the one's that hate for anyone to have something new

They seem to stand tall and steady in their place
Waiting for the right moment to slam that door in your face
With their attitude that says that they are better than you
Their tiny minds cannot comprehend this bit of news

Just as you slam that door in my face
Remember, another open's in its place
You will grow weary from slamming all those doors
Eventually your tired body will crumple to the floor

As I head towards that open door, I'll glance your way
Knowing in my heart that on that floor I cannot let you stay
I will dust you off, even help you to your feet
Together through that door, where just maybe our firendship will meet

I don't do it to say that I am better than you
Even people filled with hate need compassion too
Maybe from each other we can learn
Instead of wishing for the other to burn!

Date: 5/24/2001 12:58:00 PM  From Authorid: 19901    Oh yes, writers block. Been there and done that. It isn't fun to have a keyboard in front of you with a total blank running through your mind, is it? Sad thing is, you just have to let it run it's course. I've heard people say that if you keep a journal it helps. It worked for me. Good luck, Bro! Storm
