I have no CLUE!

I have no clue what to make of the following:Every time the characters go through a Gate, they wind up EXACTLY where they need to be at the exact TIME they need to be there. In real life, if time travel were possible (at least to the past anyway, since we "time travel" to the future everyday) it'd be uncontrollable.

There's no way to program a machine to count backwards in time. Time does not exist to a machine. Oh, sure, it has a clock, but all a clock does is simulate the passing of moments. There's no way a computer could actually understand what the "past" is unless that computer were around during that time.

Furthermore, it'd be impossible to transport someone into the past into occupied space. The Earth is filled with particles and matter. Transporting something to the past would require that what was there be either moved or destroyed. (Or maybe that the sended person traded places with whatever matter was there at the time.) Remember how, in Terminator, when something was transferred in time how anything that was there before disappeared? So, unless you plan on transporting someone in deep space, it's not possible to do it on the Planet Earth.

The past, you see, doesn't exist. However, we as humans create the illusion of a past by having memory. When something is changed, we have a memory of what has changed. If a leaf blows in the wind or a rock crumbles from decay, we know that it has changed from its original state, so our mind fools us into creating a "past" for said object. When in fact, there is only a present...one that constantly changes

Someone by the alias of King Zeal said that.
