I have one in my house. Although I have a cat so mice aren't a problem. I would say they help. Maybe not totally, but somewhat. |

I don't think they do a thing.... except annoy the crap outta ya!what i found to work really well (if you can stand the smell!) is a few mothballs tossed into the cabinets (don't put them in any cabinets with food!) I left them in there for about a week...just long enough to make sure the critters REALLY left! Peppermint oil works well, too....but I don't think as good as the mothballs! |

Mercury, I had bought some mothballs. I was going to put them underneath the house. I know this repels snakes so I thought it might work for mice too. |

YES! The Pest Offense works! Its the device that you plug in. You can get details from the info-mercial on TV. I have 2 of them, I had allot of spiders and others yucky insects, once in a while I'll see a spider like maybe 1 a week, before I was seeing at least 2 or 3 a day! The reason I have 2 of them is because I have a 3 story home. It takes about 2 weeks to start working, but I really have been happy with the results. And it's safe with pets. |

Lemme give you some advice about a mousetrap! Its the best way, but you have to do a couple tricks with them. 1. bend the trip up a little so it's a hair-trigger. 2. put a "RAISIN" on the bait. Jam it under those little teeth so the mouse has to pull. You'll get one every time. I tried eveything too until I hit on the rasin, now....there's no escaping! ;-) |

Oh and another thing. If you find the hole they are coming in, jam some steel wool into it and cover it with plaster, wood, caulk, whatever it was originally. They cant chew thru the steel wool, it cuts up their mouth. Good luck |

The only problem with mouse traps is sometimes if the trap doesn't kill em' right away and they are able to move, then die, your stuck with a dead mouse that you can't find.. |

Thanks for your help guys. Here's the update its been a week since I cleaned out all that mice poo underneath my cabinets. Since then, I've seen no sign of them. They just disappeared. I'm not going to celebrate just yet though. The poison I set out still looks untouched so I don't think its that. If they come back I think I might try that plug in thing. I appreciate your help 22065. Although I think I'll try the cheaper version plug in that they have at Wal-Mart. Never heard of baiting with a raisin Osiris. I was using cheese and peanut butter. Thanks for your help also. |
