I found this book very entertaining. The Beatles in their own words describe the ups and downs in their lives, careers, etc.,. The book starts with their childhood, how they met, the early years, their heyday, and with the breakup of the band. There are a lot of pictures, personal mentos, and stories behind their biggest hits. Did you know that there was an actual person named Eleanor Rigby? Her name was taken from an actual tombstone. John and Paul would often walked thru a cemetary and I guess this tombstone caught their eye. It's a great read for anyone. The book weighs more than 3lbs and it costs $60.00. I checked it out of the library. The only disappointment in my opinion is that not all of their album covers where pictured. I really wanted to see the whole cover of Sgt. Pepper not just parts of it.
