sorry, I still think it should be illegal. I have done research on it, so my opinion is not based on ignorance. Yes, it can help people, but it should go no further than that. I think paperwork is perfectly fair. |

Heh. I haven't done too much research on it, (maybe a little experimenting?) but I agree with you. |

all I was saying was that some people just hear the word "pot" and go by what they see on TV and instantly think it's like crack or something.. (which it isn't) |

Good for you, everyone is blind to what drugs really are, and why the government shouldn't be doing what they are doing, imprisoning innocent addicts, to incarcerate the minority and lower classes. Even if you are productive and on drugs you still face the penalty, and why are they illegal, I'm guessing that most of the people that disagreed with you here, don't have a clue. They are illegal, because they threaten to change a politcal state, especially Marijuana and LSD, those drugs were made illegal, because they were the drug of choice by the Hippies. And they were organized and focused on changing the world through love and peace. Truly a threat to our "anti-democracy". Great post and good luck. Ryphis Demeanor |

If you use it, you may be very disappointed when it is legalized. It will be regulated on how much you can buy, and most definitley TAXED! Something to think about. Privatelady |

yes BUT we would no longer have to hide in alleys and fear the police, plus, they would probably put it in packs like cigarrets. |

i would welcome the taxes because it would still be cheaper than what one pays now without 'paying taxes' on it...if it were legalized the overall price would go down - AND we would be able to select better quality pot - in other words - more types to choose from. and as to them regulating how much we could have - i doubt it , once the govt. starts making tax money on it they'll not want to regulate - also - it will either be legal or illegal - and if it's legal there should be no regulation - i don't think they can measure the percentage under the influence one is - (unlike for liquor where they can do the breathalizer). legalization would be a good thing - and it would still be available from the usual sources - if they did try to regulate quantity. ~heather |

You make some very good points heather, especially about the govt not wanting to regulate it once they start making the money. But as far as it being available from other sources, not so much so once the gov starts making money on it. Watch how fast they cen stop the illegal drug trade when it affects their pocketboos/wallets. I really don't care one way or the other. I don't use it anymore. Privatelady |

"organized and focused on changing the world"? Thats a good one! I thought the hippies just wanted to avoid going to vietnam like a lot of the young people of there generation had to do, lay around, smoke dope, listen to Jimmy Hendrix and have a lot of sex, but change the world? That's a hoot. As for my first post, I respect someone more if they say, ya I just want to get stoned cause I like how it makes me feel, and not hide behind sick people as an excuse to get it legalized...I know what drug addiction does, it ruined my brothers life so don't lecture me about this...Kelly |

Kelly - But I'm not talking about cocain and Heroin. I'm talking about "pot", the one drug where you can't get addicted because it takes too long to do so, and if you did get addicted, you wouldn't feel the withdrawl because it takes so long to get out of your system. -Kitsune |
