Hi Purple Angel....well, from what I've learned many religions teach that if you are not baptized you will not be allowed into the kingdom of heaven. My sister's baby died at 2 months of crib death and the Catholic priest told her that since she had not yet baptized her daughter, her daughter would not be in heaven. Have you ever heard of anything more cruel!? I personally don't believe it whatsoever. You are right to ask questions when they come up in your mind and have every right to do so. Many people teach false concepts about God. Listen to your heart and your spirit and you will find the truth. This was a good question. |

baptism is just an outward sign of your devotion, whats in your heart is whats important, and what counts, not some ceremony. Logan51 |

Actually, I got baptized when I was eight, because I'm a mormon. The reason they do that, is because, at that age you understand what you're doing. You have more of your own choice! So...no, that is NOT true.

you know, this is a good question. my Momma baptized all of us by the rain when we were babies. she believed that it was a way for God to take care of us if we died before we did it thru a church. i remember it even tho i was very young. i thought i found the right chuch to be baptized in about 10 yrs. ago. then the questions about that religion surfaced. i took back my Baptism and redid it my Mommas way. i figured the rain is Gods tears. what could be better than that? it's my belief and everyone has their own way of believing. i'm not real anxious to die tho just to find out who is right on religion. LOL. penny44 |

yes,I've been Baptised.I believe that baptism is only an outward showing that you are dead to this world, but alive in Christ Jesus. It's merly symbolic. |

I have been baptised.I went through comfermation and I went to all Catholic school's.But you could hardly call me religious, as I know what Christian's and Catholic's regard what I believe in as Pagan god's.Will I still go to heaven?.I THINK SO MY DEAR CHAPPY'S!God bless. |

I was but I chose NOT to have my kids baptized. I thought that, when they're old enough, they can decide what religion they want to follow. Then it won't be forced on them like it was to me...pianoman |

I am baptized catholic, probably when i was about 3 weeks old i guess. All of my children were aso baptized catholic, none go to religion, one made her communion. My sister's all turned out to be different also. I dont know what it is about the catholic religion that is gong on but it sured turned me AWAY. Not away from God just away from the way they handle things. DINA |

no sweety, you do not have to be baptised to be someone important or get baptised to get into the holy kingdom. although it probably wouldn't hurt. LadyJ |
