My cousin and I were alot like your ex and his . We were the same age and grew up together. He went into the service and died in a car crash. His body was shipped back here and the funeral was planned. Come the day of the funeral I could not bring myself to go. I tried to cry and couldn't. I tried for the next 2 weeks to get drunk but couldn't do that either. I was just numb. One night I had a very vivid dream. I was all of the sudden in a room where 4 men where playing poker. Then I realized one was my cousin. He looked up at me and said "Hi, cuz" then stared me in the eyes and said " I'm O.K. I am O.K. here. Really!" I tried to look away and he pulled my face back up to look at his and said "Really , its O.K. I'm fine here.everything is O.K." I woke up and could still feel his hand upon my cheek. I finally cried for hours. It wasn't until much later that I realized it had to have been him and not just some dream because he was left handed and his touch was on my right cheek. That was almost 15 years ago and I still remember it as if it were yesterday. I still believe it was my cousin I saw that night. Just as I believe that it is your ex's cousin visiting him. It is just too bad your ex can't allow his cousin to stop worrying about him and visa versa as mine did. |

Thank you for your reply. I'm sorry about your cousin, but glad that he came to comfort you. Not everyone gets that priviledge. ![]() ![]() |
Date: 8/9/2002 7:00:00 PM From Authorid: 61497 I'm very sorry for your ex! What a terrible loss. But I dont think that it was his cousin comforting him, though. I dont believe in dead ppl coming to talk to or comfort people in their dreams but I do think that it is your ex's way of coping with his loss. I'm glad he can have those reminders of his cousin, though. *HUGS* |
