Hey I think that the qualifications to get a tag are more than fair, I personelly think it should be three months and 300 comments. Come on I could get 200 comments in a month, it's not hard. those tags take alot of work, be patient. If your only here for a tag and a tag only then I'm sorry, and in which case good luck at the other site, I would hate to see someone leave just because it took them a little bit of time to get a tag though.....  |

Go ahead. You don't have a 'right' to a tag -- it is a gift for those who (1) stay with USM, and (2) do the work to get it. Writing 200 comments is not a big deal, especially when spread over two months. Two months is a minimum besides, so a person doesn't make two hundred comments in one day then expect a tag. So what if don't get two-hundred comments within two months? I'd hate to be here when you get two-hundred replies (if you do), when you hear that there is quite a long list of tag-wanters ahead and there would be a waiting period before you get your tag. |

I just go by the ol quote, "if it's not worth waiting for, then it's not that good." The admins just want to make sure that these tags go to people who will be around here to use them. It takes a lot of work and effort to make them, only to have those people leave after a week or two. I think you should hang around and leave some posts and enjoy the site. The tag is "just the icing on the cake."  |

200 comments is practically nothing. I got 200 in a little over a month. The requirements are perfectly fair. And it would be virtually impossible for your tag to be here automatically after 2 months. Where do you think the tags come from?? The admins put a LOT of their time into making them to make people happy with them. Tags are a gift, NOT an obligation. If you're going to leave because you don't have your tag at your beck and call, then go to writers-voice.com. You shouldn't be here because of a TAG. It's just a TAG!!!!!! It's a blinking object with a name on it! It's not that critical I promise! You should be posting because you are saying things from your heart and mind, not because you want an object. =Odd=  |

USM isn't only about the tags. If there were NO tags, this would be the greatest site in the world anyway! The admins have made the tag policy stricter for a very good reason. Too many people were coming just for the tags, getting bored with them, and leaving. I'm sorry if you think it is "hard", but the admins really have no way of knowing who is going to stay loyal to USM and actually use the tags. It takes a very long time to make the tags.... I know, because I help make them, and the admins work very hard to make each tag the best it can be. They go above and beyond on those tags.... they really do, and hundreds of people are requesting tags right now. They need to make sure that the people requesting tags are going to stick with USM. Wouldn't you want people to stay at your site if you took so much time to make them a wonderful gift -when you didn't have to? The ones who stay for at least two months, make enough comments, and so on, prove themselves. In the end, it's worth it when you get your tag! =) Good luck with yours, I'm sure it will look great!  |

I think it is fair, tags are GIFTS. They show your dedication to USM, if you come here, just for a tag, you don't really desereve a tag. USM is not just taggies, we are about stories with quaility, caring people and friendship. Most people come here to make friends, read stories, and post their own expericances, not just to get a taggie. The Admins GIVE taggies to people who have shown that they love it here, and plan to stay. I, for one, would stay even if my tag was taken away. Right now the Admins are backed up with tag requests, they need more help with making them. It takes a long time to make tags, they are well worth the time and effort put in by the person recieving the tag, and the person who made it. If you are going to leave, just because you want a taggie, then I say, "Don't let the door hit you on your way out!!" Remember, there is more of us than there are people who make the taggies.  |

We have 'issues' just for liking a certain site? Honestly, if you don't like it here and think everyone here has issues, maybe you should just go to that site. But, like everyone has said, tags are a tiny little part of all that USM is. It's not a big race to see who can get a tag first or who has the coolest tag; what matters is how nice you are to everyone and how you share your views nicely. It's just a place to hang out, not to fight over. I understand that it can be tough replying to certain stories sometimes - sensitive issues, old issues, constantly debated issues, etc. - but read more stories, and soon the replies will come naturally. What I try to do is reply to every single story I read; that's why I have 662 comments.  |

Well, I'm sorry, but if having a name tag is such a BIG issue for you then take the time to make the comments. If you really want a tag that badly put off some of your writing and devote that time to replying. Once you have reached the required 200, go back to giving your writing the time. Seems to me that you want the rules to change because you don't want to invest the time that all the rest have...and that certainly wouldn't be fair...now would it?? Love and peace....Thumb  |

Once you meet the requirements you will still have to wait about 2 months or longer for your tag. I have been waiting almost 3 months for my tag. The tags take a few hours each to make that's why they don't just give them out to every member. LisaNY1  |

the tags do take a long time. they have so many to make and it takes a while to make just one tag. so, even after you have 200 comments you have to be a member for 2 months and then it may take 2 more months to get your tag made because of the line of people waiting. it takes patience. but this site is great with or without the tags. i had 200 comments in no time. and that was with working and being a single mother. i just put my son to bed at night and then come here and get lost in replying  the 200 comments is the easy part. but i really wish you would stay and check out all of the great stuff this site really has. then you'll realize that the tag is just an added bonus.  |

I would like to have a tag too and, someday, maybe I'll earn it. Someone else said what I'm about to say and it's absolutely true. When I first came here, I participated because I loved the site. I had no idea what those tags were. I thought that it was just people who were using html like so many do in emails. The plain and simple fact is that I just love the site and have absolutely no intention of ever leaving it. I come here ever day when I get home from work and I stay here until it's past time for me to go to bed. I'm on more on Saturdays and all day long on Sundays. This is the best site I've found to date and, for the record, I'm not looking for any more.  |
