Pam, thank you for posting this. My feelings have been hurt as well, but you know...we should count it all joy in Christ! After all, the world hated Him first. There have been SEVERAL Christians here who have been VERY hurt by things that have been said toward them... Things which they were NOT involved in, yet got blamed for...  |

Hi Pam! Well...first let me say I have never had a problem with you. I see you as a very kind hearted and giving person. And...I am sorry you have been hurt....all of us have feelings...and all of should remember to respect each other. Now....I'm not sure what you are talking about here...with the cut and past thing...so I can't really comment on that. But...I do feel that I need to say that I have seen some pretty hateful comments from Christians in the last few days here too. So, I guess it comes from both sides and each side feels they have been hurt and malaigned. I hurts me to see that too. It just seems to go back and forth. Maybe...(big maybe)...some will see this and we can all just give up fighting and just accept each other and agree to disagree and let each other be different. Hiya Pam *hugs* I have been where you are too *thinking about quitting USM* I have been told some horrible things *not through email* ..... right here on USM.......so believe me when I say that I understand your feelings. But you know what, I say the people who are saying hurtful things to you are the ones who need to step back and think about what they say *type* I have always said this intolerance thing goes both ways.......it is NOT just Christians who say malicious things......PEOPLE do. Christians *IMO* do not have a monopoly on this sort of behavior. So, Pam, I'm sorry that you have been hurt, but remember whether you are a non-Christian *or Christian* you are still human, and prone to human behavior. *hugs*  |

Don't worry about how people treat you. I appreciate it you guys but this is not just about me and my feelings... This is about STEROTYPING people and prejudice... The MAIN Christians who come to this site each and every day, I THINK, for the most part of very courteous most of the time and very loving, kind, and giving... It's also puzzling to me how 3 different post in the last 2 or 3 days which were "christian bashing" post, not just in the post but also in the comments were put up at the top of the page and left there for a long time... I have no idea who is responsible for that decision or why it was made, so I reserve judgement for now but it seems VERY ODD!!! It offends me a LOT!!! Thank you all for your kind comments though... |

Hello Pam, yes we are all hurt at times. I see posts from non-christians which hurt and posts from christians which hurt. And sometimes we hurt others unintentionally. I think the best policy is when you have hurt someone, you should apologize and make things right. We all make mistakes, we need to be able to admit, apologize, learn, and proceed. Good post. It's very kind of you to give advice to other people who are out of reach, and it's up to them whether they want to believe in them and live their lives, and Pam, I want you to know that some people just refuse to listen, and it's impossible to open them up if they don't want to. Don't ever allow anger flush through you to know that they don't appreciate all the things you had done for them, it's their choice, be sorry for them instead. Things in USM is better than lots of those sites which i have been, lots of unkind words were used to point at Christian, personally, when i try to stand for the rights that i believe, i get push back so easily. Dear sweet Pam, you have done the things that God wants us too. And carry on with it, never let the ''Satans'' push you down for look at where you have been standing!!! It's a great distance between you and Satan, pray to mighty God!! And BTW i totally agree with what you said. We, Christians should be a good role model for people who mistaken our identity!!! OH my goodness, I know how you feel! This place can get you down quickly and I have also wanted to give up many times. Pam, I cannot imagine how anyone could find anything about you that would cause that sort of negative reaction. But when ever we post something we risk offending a person no matter how benign our comment is. I have nothing but respect and admiration for your efforts although we do not agree on spiritual issues. I know you to be a sincere and caring person. Dont let them get to you.  |
