Hey all! I thank you all for the responses I got about my trip to Cancun!! Unfortunately now my trip is in the past and I am back :( We only got to stay 3 short days. We stayed at El Pueblito hotel. It was gorgeous!! So open to the outside, just like a little village, and we were RIGHT off the beach. So of course that's where I spent most of my daytime hours (when not shopping). And, Thinker, I didn't go to Kulkukan Plaza, we just went to the flea markets and picked up some T-Shirts and Pretties. There weren't too many little kids wanting money either. Just one little girl who was selling bracelets that she made. The people down there were SO nice and just ready to go out of their way for us. We did get lost on the bus a couple times. They drive like maniacs!! We missed our stop (actually we were going the wrong way) and we ended up completely out of the tourist area and then my friends decided they wanted to get OFF the bus!! It was scary cuz it was the middle of the night. 4 American girls dressed up for the club wandering around the "not so touristy" part of Cancun!! SCARY! We made it tho, we hopped right back on another bus. And as for my flying experience: Well, we had to be at Omaha airport at 5am. We boarded at like 6am and I about fainted when I looked out the window at our plane sitting there!! I made it on the plane without too much trouble and I was fine sitting there until we started moving. My hands got totally clammy and some old experienced flyers were laughing at me cuz I probably got white as a sheet. I finally relaxed a little, but was still on the borderline of panic if I began to dwell on the fact that we were 30,000 feet in the air with nowhere to go but down!! Then we got to St. Louis and had a layover. This is the cool part! We got on the plane and we had to just sit at the airport for like 2 hours because they were having a fresh water prob. But guess who was on our plane!! Jerry Springer. No KIDDING!!I didn't get to talk to him, but I talked to big bodyguard Steve and we were supposed to get pics taken with them, but the line in customs when we got to Mexico was SOOOO long and packed that we couldn't, so we just had to settle for a pic of Jerry waving at the camera from behind us in line. I guess it's a big deal for me, since being from Nebraska I've never really met any celebrities. But that's kind of a summary of my story. I'm glad I made it back alive, even tho I must have picked up a bug down there, cuz I had a stomach flu for a week, but it didn't start til after I got back thank goodness! :) How it changed my life:I want to go back at LEAST every year!!!
