I think angels are spirits...yes, loved ones do try to help even after death...and if there are more angel sitings than ufo's (don't know the math on it) then i say it is because more people WANT to see angels..know what i mean? a high majority of people would love to see an angel..or love to have proof that someone else did...but it's the opposite for a UFO siting..~heather  |

lots of questions!!!! akkk!!! I will try and answer some of them though I dont know if angel sightings are more common place then UFO's but not either have been PROVEN to the masses as "valid". It is for me a private thing...the nagels not the UFO thingLOL I may have angelic visits or wisdom bestoed to me on occasion..yet I feel timid or private in regards so I may not tell anyone about each time I think I see, feel, or hear one. I think that if there were ever a chance of seeing a UFO..I may still keep quiet about it as well....so I do not believe we have an accurate count on either cases. I am not usre what angels are exactly.........but I am figuring it out I contact my angels through many differant ways and sometimes they contact me. I dont know for sure I guess that they are from GOD....well yes I do. But the reasons are so vast and great to even try and explain....and make sense so I back out here good questions Pam..I am interested in what others have to say. I hope this doesnt turn into a "your wrong...I am right thing though. I think it is such a personal thing, that is it possible we can all be right, even if only concerning onesself???? I hope so. Angels, if only one thing I know, come in love I hope this post is full of love *huGz*  |

Oh, don't worry about the type o's. This isn't a spelling B, thank goodness... I'd loose... Well blossom, you are right that we don't have an accurate account of the angel OR the UFO sightings, but it seems pretty evident that people sure have a LOT more stories to tell about angels... I think we DO need to keep in mind that there are GOOD angels and BAD angels... When Touched By An Angel first came on television, I thought, oh great, this will help people realize that they need to worship God and think about God more... Well, it didn't seem to work out quite that way. Although it helped some people, it seemed to create this desire with some to worship angels and seek to contact them. Angels are messenger between God and man. They are also sent to protect us and to do things for us... They are servants... No where in the Bible does it talk about us praying to or trying to seek a vision of an angel. In fact, many times God sent an angel with a message TO MAN but it doesn't talk about man sending God a message to God by an angel... The Bible speaks of prayer TO God but not to an angel or with an angel... I can't find the passage now because there are SO MANY places where angels appeared to people in the Bible. There is one place where an angel appeared and the person or persons started to bow to them. They were rebuked by the angel because of this... When we get into contacting angels or praying to angels, we can't be sure which angels we are contacting... I believe we have a guardian angel assigned to us and a demon assigned to us... The angels are assigned by God and the demons are assigned by satan... They are BOTH supposed to guide us... Opposite ways, as you can imagine...  |

I agree with both you Firstborn, and blossom that people hesitate to tell others. If I hadn't witnessed the angel I saw in the presence of 3 other people, I probably wouldn't have believe myself... I'm sure I wouldn't have told anyone else... I STILL struggle with why God allowed me to have the priviledge of seeing this... I'm just glad I did... Going back to Heather, I would like to believe that angels are the spirits of our dead relatives but unfortunately, this is not the case... Angels are created beings... They were created possibly even before the earth. They were not anything else first, they were always angels... Matthew 22:30 "For in the resurrection they neither marry, not are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven." |

I forgot to say that I feel (personal opinion) that angel sightings are on the rise... BOTH angels of darkness AND angels of light... I think this is a sign of the times we live in... I don't think we can always know if an angel has been sent by God... I think it's important to pray about it... |

Hi Pam~ I believe angels are the first creations of God - his first children sort of speak. What came after angels were humans. So angels have the duties that pertain to both the physical and the afterlife realm while their existence mainly stays on the spiritual plane. All angels are close to God and thus they are on the higher spiritual levels/spheres of heaven. The higher the level, the more vivid the brightness - and this environment goes hand in hand with the aura of their soul. And since these celestial beings are on the highest spiritual level, those who have witness angels or God or even Jesus (with the notably halo around his head in art depictions) have said they're auras is intensely bright. This is how people both in the afterlife realm and on the physical realm can distinguish an angel from a regular person. I believe due to various religions who speak of these angelic beings and personal encounters through dreams, NDEs, etc., angel awareness is increasing. I'm not sure if it is on the rise however, but this maybe due because of the increase of entertainment media with angels within them, like the movie, City of Angels, Meet Joe Black, or Touched by An Angel. I'm sure angels can hear those that call on them - however, I believe it's rare that they'll talk back. ~XxSuaveoO~ 29919 |

I just wanted to add cause I saw your comment, that perhaps you have a point Pam...with the peeps thinking the only way to speak with god is to use Angels to pass on a message or such I do talk with my angels...so I think, LOL...but they may just be my "spirit" or coinshence (sp)speaking within myself as well.....but I do believe that my angels can be "friends or protectors to me...like perhaps a guardian of sorts.But I always talk to GOD first hand |

Dear blossom, I can just see you sitting there just talking away to yourself. lol... You are right about protection... There's lots of different task angels have and protection is definitely one of them. Even if we didn't have the accounts from the Bible, too many people have claimed to have experiences with angels. Most of them at times when we need protection. |

Dear X, I thought about it maybe being because of the media, television shows, ect. but I decided after thinking for awhile that this is not it. Billy Graham wrote a book about angels in 1975. At that time, there was almost nothing written about angels at all. He states this in his book. I remember also that you didn't hear too much about it either. Now, I know of several people who have seen angels other than myself. Billy Graham himself, at the time, had not seen an angel... I know of more people who claim to have seen an angel than claim to have seen a UFO. |

Pam, while I understand what you are saying; I am concerned regarding these supposed "angel sightings". I personally have never witnessed such a thing, and would question such an event with great speculation. There are many miracles God performs daily, children being born, things growing, etc.; well, you get the drift. I am hesitant to think of God as having so many "miracles" happening, one being angel sightings, in order to make people be believers. There is a lot of fraud going on, especially in the new charismatic movement. Music and drugs (many people are on prescription medications}, and even suggestive thoughts can cause people who desire to see such things, to see them, even if not really manifested by God, but by man. I do not mean to be harsh, but trying to remain "realistic" about this issue. Take care, my friend. Free Girl  |

I understand what you mean and I agree with you to an extent... I felt very much like you did about seeing angels although, I had known of many people who had seen something that weren't the kind of person to make something up. In fact, seeing angels are SO COMMON that even my denomination, which is not charismatic at all accepts these sightings most of the time... The angel I saw, along with 3 other ladies came to us right after we had a prayer meeting at a young boys house who had cancer... We had gotten done with the prayer meeting and we were just standing around outside talking about the blessings of God. We were totally taken by surprise!!! This angel came in it's heavenly form... It did not take on an earthly form of any kind. I believe it's what is described in the Bible as being a SERAPHIM... I have said this over and over again and I want to restate it... I have NEVER sought to see this angel again and I think it would be wrong to do that... God sent it and I'm glad for it but I don't believe in seeking after these things... |

Hi Pam I personally don't know anyone that has had an actual encounter With an angel (exclude dreams and NDEs other things that relates to the non-physical realm.) My opinion is, be skeptical on books that deal with spiritual encounters just knowing that it could be made-up in order for the author and publicist to get money. Like film documentaries, they have to cut and edit, alter reality to entertain - this goes the same with these types of books. And like USM, it takes only a few paragraphs or less to describe an unusual encounter, but in these spiritual books, they end up making a whole novel. So that makes me wonder if "fake" interesting stuff was added. For example, I read this woman saying that God told her in an NDE that past life memories of children is from the DNA of their ancestors, which is totally bogus considering many past life memories do not deal with their own family linneage. Anyways, money wise, spiritual books on angels do gain a large audience and they will sell - and with "angel" media this even prompts for more books b/c of the audience it's gaining. And since angels usually targets the Christian audience, many of these book have to coincide with the bible. Otherwise, the audience won't buy it. So I'd definately be skeptical... I do believe that many angels do not physically appear to people unless they have to. Do the people you know have angels physically appear to them? And do you know on what circumstances it was? Dear X, I agree with you that we should approach this with skepticism... Unfortunately, there are many people who are evil enough to make up a story like this and sell it... They will get what is coming to them and it won't be money... I don't know if you noticed my comment about seeing an angel myself with 3 other ladies but the story of this event was never sold... I thought I might sell it to Guidepost or something but I have never felt right about it... It's special to me and I don't want to gain anything from it... Does that make any sense??? I just don't feel like this is for sale... |
