i personaly dont agree with the death penalty. Someone kills someone on the street that person goes to jail but yet its okay to kill a person as long as they have hert somone els. But then again when i really think about it, it cost alot of money to pay for a person to be in jail and it cost a lot more to do this counseling thing you where talking about, and why would i want to financialy saport a killer, i don't think anyone in they'er right mind would want to do this. ~Corvus~ |

No, he needs to be torchered and die a slow painful death, but unfortunately, the Constitution prohibits "cruel and unusual" punishment. So they should fry 'em in the electric chair. |

LOL. I agree. It's not fair! They get computers,Cable TV, radios, telephones, pool tables, pinball machines, vending machines, cigarettes, and "stuff from home".And some prisons even have bowling alleys. They should be in a tiny little cell being fed bread crust and water, or nailed to the wall or soemthing.lol |

HE SHOULD DEFINALITY PAY FOR WHAT HE DID. I AGREE WITH THE DEATH PENALITY TO AN EXTENT, BUT IF YOU DO SOMETHING THAT DRASTIC YOU SHOULD DIE! I AM A SENIOR AT HEATH HIGH SCHOOL(THE SHOOTING WAS MY FRES. YEAR) AND MICHAEL CARNEAL IS GETTING AWAY WITH JUST 25 YEARS. HE KILLED THREE PEPOLE. WHAT IS HAPPENING TO OUR WORLD? PEOPLE ARE GETTING AWAY WITH MURDER! |

I just don't believe in the government's ability to decide who should die and who should not. They are not the Supreme beings.... |

That isn't the only reason he did what he did. The man knew what he was doing and he knew it was wrong. Send him to the chair. |

i think they should put him in a special room and plant a bonb in under it and not tell him when it will go BOOM! that's way more than he deserves. |

I'm normally not one to approve of the death penalty.....except in this case. I sincerely believe he deserves this. He KILLED 163 people! And I don't care if he is or isn't severly ill, I personelly think he knew EXACTLY what he was doing. He deserves it, and the last faces he should see are pictures of those he killed and the faces of the family members of those who died. |

I usually try to stay out of this kind of debate but I have to say that the man intentionally murdered innocent people, including many children. Yeah he's sick (in a twisted, demonic way) but he knew exactly what he was doing. Can you imagine what life would be like if the law didn't inforce capitol punishment and people like him just figured..oh well the worst that could happen to me is a padded cell and 3 meals a day? I don't think so. Sorry to disagree with you on this one hun. Aunt Be |

He did this b/c of what the gov. did in Waco. Does this mean we can go bomb a federal building and possibly kill thousands of people too. Waco was his excuse if you ask me. |

He has asked for the death penalty, Kandi, and while I understand his motives for the bombing, cause Waco was, indeed, an atrocity committed by the government, McVeigh shouldn't be forced to deal with being in prison the rest of his life, and subjected to the hatred aimed against him forever by people in this country. I say, let him die, if it's his wish, and go on. Free Girl |

Honestly, I don't think this involves anyone, except for the victims and their families. We can sit idly back and state our opinions about capital punishment and how criminals of this caliber should be treated. But in the end, it's up to either God, or the victim's family to truly decide that man's fate, because they are the ones whose lives were changed forever by what he did, not you or I. We have no idea how they feel, sure we can relate, with things that have happened in our lives, but in the end, we have no idea what it is to be like in their shoes, in their pain. Let them decide. But as for capital punishment? I don't know. Sometimes I feel like death is the easy escape from the crime they commited, other times I think being locked up for life is truly a fitting punishment. But we are half animal/half man. And that combination is a dangereous one. Ryphis |
