Date: 3/27/2001 11:01:00 PM From Authorid: 23610 I try to find time to be alone and either be in silence or listen to meditative music and read books I love. I also try to find time to think alone to work through what ever is stressing me out...slowly and calmly. If none of that works I sometimes go running or do some sort of physical activity that wears me out and gets all the adrenaline out of my system. It depends on what it is that is stressing me out at the time. Good post. -Lady Nyx |
Date: 3/27/2001 11:30:00 PM From Authorid: 27678 I have a drink or two, think about what is really stressing me and decide to do the opposite. If I WANT TO YELL, I try to whisper. If I want to hurt someone that has done me wrong, I forgive them. But most of all, I pray to God to help me not do anything that would be hasty and bring on additional problems. Free Girl |
Date: 3/28/2001 12:15:00 AM From Authorid: 17789 I was reading an article on how to relieve ourselves from everyday stress. It teaches us the technique of breathing, such that our it's our stomach which expands more instead of our lungs. This needs practising, you can try this. Let me know if this works over a period. Feeling stress? You can put aside your work, and do the things that you enjoy. Meanwhile, forget about work, do something for yourself! Listen to some music, take a walk, sitting and doing nothing but just to watch the sun as it goes down everyday! It;s really quite a comfort if you just do the things that you enjoy. Remember, not to push yourself to hard! One needs to pamper oneself!!Love, ~DiAz~ |

Yo, Gotta go with J.Ds method as well...I get in my car, when its late a night and very little (if any) traffic is on the road (or Police) and just drop the hammer. You really don't think about stress when your hauling out at 230+kph (130-140mph) down some long straight that just goes on forever and ever. My car is my medication, prozac on wheels! Peace, AGENT SMITH |

Date: 3/28/2001 6:22:00 AM From Authorid: 15228 When I'm stressed, it tends to bring out my seizure disorder, so I avoid stress as much as possible. I IGNORE stuff, bills pile up sometimes because I'm VERY good at ignoring the inevitable, sometimes I clean my house. Vacumning has a soothing affect, the vacumn also shoves large items under the couch so there is a path through the living room. |
Date: 3/28/2001 6:38:00 AM From Authorid: 22361 I work out 4x a week, and use my heavy bag 3x a week. It's a great way to get rid of stress. -Mighty Mouse- |
