Do You Think The Titanic Is Haunted?

This maybe a strange question, but I'd really like to know what you think! Do you think the Titanic is haunted? Most tragic events such as the Titanic would be haunted, the question is, in what manner? Haunted on the ocean's floor or on the surface of the ocean? Even items that have been brought up from the ocean's floor could be haunted? I've always believed that a tragic event would usually bring about hauntings and the Titanic is truely tragic, but is it haunted and in what manner?? LillyCats

Date: 3/25/2001 8:15:00 PM  From Authorid: 19990    Who knows. But there is a great "fictional" novel that touches on this subject. I believe it is called "There's Something Alive On The Titanic" by Robert Serling. It reads kind of like Michael Crichton's "Sphere" but it is still good.
Date: 3/25/2001 8:20:00 PM  From Authorid: 17248    Thats an interesting question! I think hauntings usually occur when spirits are trapped or dont know that they are dead and this may be the case on the Titanic.
Date: 3/25/2001 8:29:00 PM  From Authorid: 23610    I agree with Glow Buggie about spirits "haunting" a site if they don't know that they are dead. Also...with something this traumatic there is usually alot of energy associated with the place where the tragedy occurred and it can be causing all kinds of weird and misunderstood events. -Lady Nyx
Date: 3/25/2001 8:31:00 PM  From Authorid: 19382    I think it's haunted below the ocean and atop it. I liked that bit in Ghostbusters II when it arrived! (hehe, sorry, sidetracked). And I do think that spirits could be attached to any of the items brought back from the lonely wreck. - S.C. Gendo Ikari ShipPagan
Date: 3/25/2001 8:42:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 31045    I forgot about GhostbusterII when the Titanic finally arrives! I thought that was so cool! And I believe that the Titanic can be haunted below the surface and on the surface of the ocean as well as objects from the Wreck. LillyCats
Date: 3/26/2001 5:23:00 AM  From Authorid: 19990    That book I mentioned earlier covers all of this! COOL! LOL In the "story" the ghosts of the Titanic haunt the ship and the surface of the water. I won't give away why they do what they do. Read the book... =)

Date: 3/26/2001 12:16:00 PM  From Authorid: 28767    Yes i believe the titanic is haunted. Just think of all the poor people that died. I also think that certain items could be haunted to, so yes I agree. snowy
Date: 3/27/2001 4:50:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 31045    It is interesting to note that they had trouble when going down to the Titanic! I have mixed feeling about the people taking thing up from there. I feel they should leave it alone but than again everything is rusting away. So I have mixed feelings on that! LillyCats
Date: 11/6/2001 10:04:00 AM  From Authorid: 31837    Yes, I believe it is possible that everything about that ship could be haunted. A huge tragedy occured and I'm sure there are a lot of lost souls.
Date: 2/8/2002 7:07:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 31045    I was wondering, the items they do bring up from the ocean floor concerning the Titanic could also be haunted? Maybe so. I've heard that personal items can be haunted too. Kind of makes you think doesn't it? LillyCats
