Tornadoes and Blindness

I wonder if anyone had ever had similar dreams or if anyone can maybe help me interpret the meaning.

I have recurring dreams of blindness often. In most of them I am driving a car and terrified that I am going to die because I don't know where I am going. Actually I should explain a little better. I am not totally blind, it isn't total blackness. It is very blurry and I can see colors and shapes but my mind in the dreams seems to have a problem processing the information I am recieving.

Another recurring dream I have is tornadoes. I live in New York and they are very uncommon in my area. I have never actually been in one and up until five years ago never feared being in one. Until I started having the dreams. I can hear them coming like a train and I am terrified. I try to run away from them and to warn whomever I am with but it always catches up with me. I now live in fear everytime I hear a tornado warning on the news. I drive over to my mothers house and watch the news until the warning is over because she has a basement. Two nights ago the to dreams became one. I was at work and I couldn't see well but I could hear the tornado coming. I looked out the window and focused as hard as I could and finally saw it. I ran around the office grabbing everyone's arm and tried to warn them only to discover that I couldn't talk either. I ran around pointing out the window but everyone seemed not to notice me as if I wasn't there. Any thoughts on the subject would be appreciated. Thanks Shelly.

How it changed my life:

I am terrified of tornadoes.

I suggest you go and try to get some help to find out why you have reacurring dreams.

Date: 3/25/2001 7:59:00 PM  From Authorid: 25046    According to my cyclopedia of dreams...Blindness means: It is questionable whether or not the dreamer feels competent to fulfill his/her duties in waking life. It could also mean his/her reluctance to accept the challenge of the HERO self. Seeing oneself as a hero is kind of daunting, and the fact that it is your dream doesn't mean that you will necessarily and easily assume that role. Suddenly the awareness of caring for those to whom you have no obligation is quickened. The tornados are associated with the end of the world. It is not specific about tornados. Rosepetal
