Religious discrimination is still discrimination, but I believe that it is the worst type! As long as we have people running around saying "My God's Better than Your God", we will never have peace! Just because someone who speaks a different language calls god by a different name, that doesn't make them a heathen or a devil worshipper, nor does it mean that they are going to hell. God is God! Until people start accepting that religion/spirituality and belief are very personal things and should be left as such, peace will be forever out of reach. Live and let live. No one knows where we're going when we die, so until then it's all speculation anyway. Believe what you want, but let other's do the same. |

They are a huge factor in keeping world peace out of reach. When I was a Christian, I remember reading the Bible and it teaches that there will never be peace until a man comes along and then there will be peace for a 31/2 year period. The Bible also teaches that the man will be the Antichrist and empowered by the Satan himself. So how can we have peace when so many people believe that there will be none until the last few final years before Armageddon. |

Good question Phydeux. I have never really thought about it before. I just kind of always think of politicians being the cause of strife but you raise a good point. And then that brings up the question in my mind, why would religion and its followers wish to keep the world in upheaval? OH MAN, this is too much for my small mind this early in the morning. ~MOONPRIESTESS~ |

So big that the the book of revelations says that religion has been judged and found wanting, in other words they have failed in their efforts (or lack thereof) to keep peace and teach the word of God. Religion will be outlawed in the near future as it has worked against world peace. |

Just my opinion, but it's probably the BIGGEST factor. Every belief seems to deem itself the "truth" while the others are somehow wrong. It's been the case since man looked out and thought of God. The God of the more dogmatic religions divides man into warring camps, whereas the God of the Mystics is a unifying force. Peace. |
