Date: 2/11/2001 9:40:00 PM From Authorid: 9130 I think his songs are catchy, and he is just voicing his feelings and thoughts of the time... |
Date: 2/11/2001 9:42:00 PM From Authorid: 5484 he has anger, mixed with truth but presents himself in a manner in which most rappers do they think it is cool, but he definetly has issues |
Date: 2/11/2001 9:49:00 PM From Authorid: 12709 He's just speaking his mind. He has a right to his opinions. I'm pretty sure a lot of people think like him but are just too scared to speak up. And he would never do anything his songs insinuate. He even said that. Listen to the beginning of the song "Criminal". It explains that. |
Date: 2/11/2001 9:50:00 PM From Authorid: 13974 He is the voice of a guy out to make a profit, not to be one. |
Date: 2/11/2001 9:51:00 PM From Authorid: 12709 He DOES have problems, but a lot of people with problems similar to him become psychos and murderers. He blows off steam in the recording studio, without hurting anyone. |
Date: 2/11/2001 9:52:00 PM M&M is a perfect example of the apathy and plastic ideology that run rampant in our culture today. WWF methadone, piped via sattelite into every home. MTV propaganda twisting the minds of our children, telling them; "Don't think for yourself, don't be an individual. Britney Spears is the Jesus Christ of the new millenium." M&M is a low talent scroat with nothing worthwhile to say or do. If it wasn't for Dr.Dre who comes up with all those catchy beats and hooks, and samples of real music M&M would have no music at all. He is a refugee of teh trailer park and a bane on free thought and intelligence. He may be speaking his mind, but who cares? Who is this guy, Ghandi? NO. He's middle class bougeousie cracker, who watched "Colors" way to much growing up. Where I grew up we had a name for white guys like that, we called them "Clorox's" get it? Do you think anybody will look back on M&M's music and lyrics in twenty years and say, "Wow, that guy was a genius. Domestic abuse and misogony are now great moral values, how ahead of his times he was." Come on, the guy is just the other side of the same coin as Britney Spears or N*Sync: another corporate fabricated, plastic image. Being uncerimoniously shoved down the collective throat of America. Date: 2/11/2001 10:12:00 PM From Authorid: 5301 ...impure trash. Why not just turn the radio off and repeatedly skewer your brain with an ice-pick? |
Date: 2/11/2001 10:34:00 PM From Authorid: 27365 Personally I think that quote "I didn't influence him to jump off the terris, guess you should have been watching him apparently you aint parents" or something like that, that is truth. Drowning his wife, well everyone is intitled to their own morbid thought, he just gets paid for it. |
Date: 2/11/2001 10:43:00 PM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 24911 I like author 27365's way of putting it! It is very simple! |
Date: 2/12/2001 12:30:00 AM From Authorid: 23610 Well, personally, I don't care for his music....but I'll give him this much....he knows what sells and how to make money! LOL -Lady Nyx |
Date: 2/12/2001 12:33:00 AM From Authorid: 23610 P.S. I don't think even he believes in all the things in his own music. -Lady Nyx |

I believe he makes points in his music. I think he has every right to talk about his problems in his music. I think that is a good way of releasing his anger. Different people have different ways of dealing with their problems, and he has every right to do it through music. Just like I have every right to do it through fanfiction, designing websites, reading and writing. Who are we to tell someone that they can't use a certain outlet for their anger, unless it is harmful, his music maybe a little...loud, but it hasn't hurt anybody Peace and Love, Jessyca |

I live by M&M! Im a detroiter and a musician myself. I could meet him if if choose. But he does not interest me. Anything negative in my book is wrong. TRUTH? who knows the truth but God almighty. My beef with eminem is that yes, He is so mean! He picks on minorities, weaker ppl and I dont agree with that. What GOOd comes from this? Hes cute! Hes talented......but what does he give GOOD to our society. I played and hung out at the club where his recent contriversaty occorred. IMO with the POWER he has....spread some good news. Of course, society wont enjoy that. JMO Jazzed |

Date: 2/12/2001 6:41:00 AM From Authorid: 23207 I think he just expresses his opinions the best way he can...His music leaves alot to be desired for the most part, but people are listening to it...I like some of his stuff, but not all...Trouble |
Date: 2/12/2001 6:49:00 AM From Authorid: 2030 The voice of a packaged act designed to create a young following and irritate adults. In other words make money by exploitation. No real social convictions or rage, just dollars. Thats what his music is about. |
Date: 2/12/2001 10:22:00 AM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 24911 Looks like the majority of you think Eminem is using his music as a way of dealing with his issues. |
Date: 2/12/2001 1:57:00 PM From Authorid: 16612 For one thing, Eminem is NOT a Punk. He's a "G", or a "jigaboo" type. A Punk listens to Punk Rock, not trashy rap music that just induces violence. Please update this post and delete where you called Eminem a Punk....IT MAKES PUNKS LOOK BAD.LOL.-TessekTheQuarren |
Date: 2/12/2001 7:56:00 PM From Authorid: 25050 He is not a ganster or "G". |

Date: 2/13/2001 9:19:00 AM From Authorid: 27046 I don't agree with him at all. I think his tunes are catchy but that is about it. The song my name is set me off right from the beginning " I chased him with a stapler smacked him in the head with an eraser and told him to change the grade on the paper" something to that nature.........he made beating on your teacher sound good. That is the problem that I have with him. Whether he likes it or not the business that he chose has a high influence on the youth of world and this is what he has to say? Great role model!.........Azairyia |
Date: 2/13/2001 7:51:00 PM From Authorid: 14571 Eminem is a guy who had a bad life and is slightly messed in the head about it who also speaks his mind. I don't like all his songs some are extremely bad and I don't listen to them. Others make a good point, like "Stan" and the one 27365 mentioned. SO he is like most people with some good some bad points they're just exagerated badly. |
Date: 2/14/2001 7:01:00 AM From Authorid: 21066 I think this iz a gud 1! although many people say that eminem iz the voice of evil and he jus hates evryone but himself, i disagree! i think he speaks the truth, even when he's jus joking. i feel that there's a message behind everyone of his songs and i'm glad that he raps about things that nobody dares to speak about. i think his forwardness is a gud thing. u jus hav to know, when he's joking and when he's not. he has alot of problems and rapping is his way of dealing with them. irish eyes |

Date: 2/27/2001 2:18:00 PM From Authorid: 23604 he's speaking his mind and now that i think of it, i guess we all have the right to do that. i think his mind is very messed up and i personally find his views just .... well, just stupid. sorry, i don't usually call the views of other people stupid but right now that is the only word i can think of. his mind has awful thoughts and so i guess he is speaking his mind and must have had a bad life and not have been properly brought up but who am i say that? -Ariah |
