I never got to say goodbye

I lived so happy, joyous, and free,
I had nothing to worry about I was just me.
I never thought of life or death,
I was too busy being a pest.

Until one day i stayed home from school,
I had heard something that wasnt so cool.
It was my friend's grandfather,
He passed away.
He is now gone,
What can i say?

I was so sad yet angry inside,
I had never gotten the chance to say goodbye.
Not only did he die,
But my close friend as well.
Both left me,
Not feeling so well.

My uncle is happy with God today,
Now he can have his own way.
With a beer in his hand a smile on his face,
He now sits in his own place.

Not knowing what to do,
Not knowing what to say.
But i know he will help me,
Every single day.

Another friend is gone,
Without a trace.
But i'll never forget,
The looks on his face.

He was hit,
And had to pay.
The price of not living,
This very day.

Tell the one you love or care,
That they are the best.
Or live with a whole bunch of things,
Upon your chest.

I'm telling you this now,
Show people you care.
And that you will love them,
Anyhow or anywhere.

Through rain or snow,
Through thick or thin.
You will always be there,
To pick up their chin.

Dedicated to:
Rubin Rivera, Charyise Gardner, Uncle Felix, Chris, Old man, Kevin, Ervin, the cousins i never met, and everyone else that has lost someone special...may they Rest In Peace!
