If i had to say goodbye
And God had asked me what my favorite part was;
I would simply tell him, it was those I love.
I would simply give everything I have now
if i could never see that smile upon your face
if i could never see your soft glowing eyes
or feel your warmth.

If God asked me my favorite experience
I would simply tell him,
All experiences are worth it.
Without the bad ones
none of the good would come to me.
Without forgiving the ones who hurt me
i never would have found the ones that love me.
I would tell him, everything
was well worth it.

If God asked me, what made me cry
I would tell him
When people doubted me
and when people hated me
But, i would tell him
It was well worth it because now
I can tell who my real friends are.
And love them for it.

If God asked me
What i wished to do before i left
i would simply say
I would like to visit each
and give them advice that I lived with
hug them, see their smile and wipe their tears
and say, I love you.
Then turn and take Gods hand, while smiling....
