Northport, Maine has a phantom house that materalizes in an abandoned lot off a narrow, one lane road west of town. The white mansion with two chimneys appears just as it once stood, before it was destroyed by fire in December, 1954.The fire killed two elderly babysitters and all three of the Cosgrove boys, aged five, seven, and nine. The cries of the children were heard by residents for many years afterward. Recently, a family on vacation took a picture of the tall chimney still standing at the ruins. When they had the film developed, the photograph showed a large white mansion with two chimneys. Since 1990, several other people have taken pictures 'of the house that wasn't there'32 DEGREE How it changed my life:Has not. Just another house that can't seem to make up its mind as to just which dimension it wants to stay in.Many ruined houses across the USA have have the same history of dropping in and out of this world.
