~H*A*P*P*Y B*I*R*T*H*D*A*Y TO ME!!
Good afternoon Angels,
I just adore that little happy smiley that says, "Happy Birthday to me!!"
I hope All are doing very well……………………
Doing well here, but what a time going through the winter heavy snowfall and the ice storm…....my electric was off a little over a week…Goodness knows our Pioneer ancestors were made of strong sturdy stuff, no doubt!
I’ve been looking forward to Spring, let me say & its signs are every where when You look! I’ve noticed a few robins here & there along with buzz---ards flying around floating on the Spring—like breezes. Then, just when I mentioned to my Mama that I hadn’t heard the Woodland doves, the same evening, I heard them. I called Mama up asking her if she could hear them. So sweet….
Sitting here having a salad for Supper, reflecting over yesterday's events.
It was such a busy day, having to return my rental and between the mud on the tire wells since the snow melted, it was a little bit of a mess. Wouldn’t you know it, the detailers where I always take my vehicle were closed for repairs….I had to do the cleaning, detailing myself, not that I haven’t before actually I’ve always cleaned my own but here just recently started taking my vehicle and they doing it for me…..but in this process, I lost $5.00 in addition to spending $20.00 to wash the outside, clean the inside and still had to wash those tire wells------
Needless to say it looked nice as it did when I picked it up. My vehicle is still at the autobody shop, temporarily, but expecting to pick it up by next week I’m hoping. My Mama and I were together when I had a little fender bender a few weeks ago, she hurt her eye and I seemed to have hurt my left knee and arm when I banged into the side bar and my sweet Mama hit my rearview mirror…..I was more concerned about her and police contacted EMT’s but she refused to go to the ER of the local regional hospital due to this covid still ongoing, then there was this thing of straightening out the misunderstanding of my proof of insurance----when I called the police to begin with to file with my insurance------
-I couldn’t find my card, I was already “Stressed, upset” very concerned for my Mama’s well being….but this young kid had to prove something I guess, citing me for no proof of insurance until I presented it in court with the 2nd proceeding a month later being a success but over zoom due to covid-------------1st citation in my entire driving career, nevertheless it was DISMISSED…..but my Mama didn’t dismiss it. No, she called the police station and really gave them a raking! Miss Garbage Our very dear Barbara here at our beloved USM, asked me if Mama has a laptop, internet etc. No,I replied…..Mama would be telling them “what for” no ifs ands or buts about it!----
I’d be having to come up with the bail money! ;) :D It was actually quite an ordeal getting my vehicle home…I dropped my Mama off at her home taking her groceries inside, waited while she put them away------then took a big chance on driving the rest of the way home, while it took some driving to stay on my side of the roadway. I know I should have contacted AAA Car club but I was tired and more than a little weary….
.but nevertheless I arrived at my cabin…..parked my vehicle, got out went inside sat down in my honey sweetness’s recliner, cried like a baby!------- and though it took a while for the autobody shop to come pick up my vehicle…I picked out a rental until it is/was to be repaired., but since I live in a remote area, I needed another vehicle as soon as possible, argued with the claims adjuster about that-------no understanding in the least and we had words and not very nice one’s…
.I’m not accustomed to those behaving in a very condescending manner; trying to talk down to me but I did have the due date of the return extended a few more days at least----- I picked up the rental early before the autobody shop started on my own, and this was their argument….but nevertheless while enroute to return the rental, I had stopped at the detailers to have it cleaned so I went through the ordeal of cleaning it myself…..buying a few groceries, supplies while I’m still waiting on my vehicle----and afterward, I returned it yesterday-------------
sometimes it would seem everything is such an ordeal, complicated------but I tried to take it all in stride and look at the brighter side of things, not always easy but I do try! ;) At least I found out my Pippa -------cannot have Pups!! Haha!! I can hardly wait to tell my Youngest Brother this One!! ;) :D This reminds me of another incident we had with Sabien when we had first thought initially that he was a "Sabrina"
My Honey Sweetness rescued him and we bought food, collars, food bowls, everything he would need. But the next morning, Honey Sweetness was standing in the doorway in the kitchen....looking very serious.. I say is there something wrong? He says, "We've got a problem" as he held "Sabrina" in his arms. He says, "Sabrina has governor's." :)......
Well, last year while unlocking my gate when returning home from work, during a rainstorm “Pippa” appeared seemingly from out of nowhere, putting her front paws up on the gate, normally that would have startled me….I tried to shoo her away to get her to go back to where she may have come from, but instead she followed me home, had a “run—in” with The golden boy, this should have spoke volumes but I was finally able to secure her in one of the empty kennels without any further catastrophe…
Yes, I had even bought “Pippa” a pink collar at TSC several months ago, too…..About 2 weeks ago after the snow and ice-storm we had here in Kentucky, I had noticed a place inside her kennel, where it looked like she was trying to dig out...it concerned me naturally and I was saying to Mama, I don't need her to get out and have pups--- While I was taking the sweet little white Pupper the evening meal, I noticed “Pippa” peeing not so gracefully, at least not as a female would do! Haha!
I’m glad I’m not telling this in person!! Haha!! Anyway, I noticed this behavior….and I have a female Rottie whom happens to be an Alpha female and sort- of does her business differently… I talk to my Puppers, kitty’s and chickens lol so I say, what are you doing Pippa, are you picking up “lil Girl’s habits!?”…..then it dawned on me! Haha……so, I say, come over here! So “Pippa” runs to me. Oh boy! You are a Boy! You’ve got a pee pee!
So that’s how Pippa became Pippy or Pipper…I call him both! When I thought he was a she, I called him both Pippa and Pippy…..haha! He’s stuck with the pink collar, it’s a good thing he’s color blind! Hahahaha! I’ll buy him a new one later….no complex issues here! Haha! ;) But in all seriousness, it has been said all dogs are "supposedly" color blind.......But nevertheless, whether they truly are or not :D There is Never a dull moment around here let me tell you!---that ain’t nuthin compared to when we were in the middle of that snow storm! But I’ll share that little adventure another time! ;) :D
I’m here at the cabin and will be celebrating my Birthday alone….oh well…, not really alone my Puppers are here and the two little criminals hiding somewhere! ;) But I better watch my Coconut cream pie!! ;) :D After I took the rental back yesterday I stopped and picked up a few items but forgot a small cake I wanted for my Birthday celebration…..lol…….(I forget the name), it has icing with cool whip and strawberries on the top… But my Sweet little Mama had wanted some coconut cream pies yesterday, a few groceries too and I had picked those up for her first, when my Brother from another Mother picked me up, my Mama put one of her Coconut pies in the bag for me to take home….so all is not lost, I’ll have a slice of coconut cream pie for my Birthday Celebration!! While the birds are singing!! :D
I also would like to add……A Special Happy Birthday to my Angel twin Apryl & to Our Radman! May this Birthday be Your Best One, yet, may You both receive All Your favorite things!! Blessings and wishes!
