Good evening dear USM Angels!!

Oh, I hope this gorgeous Christmas Eve night find all doing well..... It has been snowing since early evening here at my NE Kentucky mountain home..

It glistens, glitters like diamonds in the cold air……. Don't we have so much to be thankful for!?.... in spite of the covid and many other situations, circumstances here in our own Country and from around the world, too. we could certainly name many as well as many issues to cause such discouragement…....yet in spite of these...I am so thankful for God's Love everlasting, His Mercy, for it is renewed every morning and His fathomless, never ending goodness & His beautiful amazing Grace!

When I was a little girl; I recall Christmas Plays we were involved in at our elementary school.. I so loved participating in those...remembering with fondness all the other children who participated, learning and rehearsing our parts.

So many Sweet memories.....of my family, of friends.....of fellow students....fellow Christians..... The Candy making with family, decorating the tree.....baking....cooking in the kitchen.....all those wonderful smells and aromas......The Laughter......the gathering of Family...... All the Songs that we sang, our costumes we wore……

One Christmas, I was a Christmas tree! (haha!) Another Year, an Angel…….and yet another, I was Mary……. I recall helping my younger Brother with his lines and other kids I helped them with theirs... The neighbor ladies, for the most part, were parents of some of the students. They helped tremendously with all the costumes, all the glitter and tinsel……it was a fun time….

I recall Plays from our Church as well as we all went Christmas Caroling, singing Songs at People’s Homes, Visiting the Convalescent homes…..bringing a little Cheer to those who were confined and couldn’t get out to enjoy the festivities…..so we brought the singing and hopefully a little Christmas cheer to them……

There is a lot we can do for others….I've enjoyed participating in Children’s Toy, Clothing drives……Ringing the Bell for The Salvation Army fund raising.... Preparing Hot meals for those who otherwise would not be sitting down to a Christmas meal.

This Year has been trying at best for so many throughout our towns, cities across this great nation... a downright struggle to remain encouraged, optimistic…… So many families not gathering together for various reasons including due to the covid……..My thoughts and Prayers have been with so many this year.

There has been much chaos, violence, unrest throughout our nation and the world....just as it was at Jesus' Birth......Then, just recently a great phenomenon took place in the Heavens with what everyone is deeming The Christmas Star……..and that’s good enough for me! Saturn and Jupiter aligning in the heavens not since 800 years ago astronomers have said!

And although Saturn, Jupiter and Mars aligned together all those years ago that Created The Beautiful Star of Bethlehem that shined down where The Christ Child Lay in a humble manger. Yes that Beautiful, Star of Bethlehem, Shine on! I’ve heard it said all of my life…..when Something so Special Extraordinary takes place in the Heavens……Something Special also happens here on Earth………….

While I stood on my porch on the 21st and 22nd gazing into the beautiful midnight blue sky……….I felt within my spirit, Something extraordinary is going to take place………. And that in All of God’s Majesty and Glory……I was reminded.....that He invited us……extending a Special invitation……… A front row seat to experience His Beloved Son’s Gift of Love, of His glorious Salvation……….. To Spend Eternity with Him…..to learn of Him…….and His Wondrous Love………… As I recalled one of the Songs we sang on that little stage in elementary school so long ago Those beautiful words/lyrics were just as clear now as they were back then!

“We three kings of Orient are bearing gifts we travel afar……. Oh Star of Wonder…Star of Night….Star of Royal Beauty Bright Westward leading, still proceeding….Guide us to thy perfect Light”

May we always be like those wise men…..following that Star………that holy heavenly Light That leads to the brightest light of all., Jesus Christ………
