I love your posts, as always. Yes, our sayings and proverbs say a lot about us and our cultures. I remember once I sent a birthday card to my dearest grandfather. I knew that I had gotten busy and had mailed the card a little too late for him to have received it on time. Well as fortune would have it, we got to travel to see him the next month. While sitting on his front porch catching up with everything, I said to him ... "hope you got the birthday card I sent. It probably didn't get here on time, but better late than never." He looked at me with his kind eyes and said, "better never late". I remembered his saying from that day forward, and was never late again sending him a card. |

Carolina blue sky. True thing. It's the prettiest most clear blue sky I've ever seen. And I HATE North Carolina pretty much. I miss Oklahoma. But you can't beat the weather or the sky! |
Date: 4/7/2020 1:30:00 AM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 48250 I'm so grateful that those horrific fires have been extinguished...such a horrendous thing to happen...I would love to see You & Australia!....Incredible that You all are experiencing Autumn now while we are just now going into Spring...it's felt like a long time coming....it's been really cold although very thankful there wasn't much snow, much Love!.....I like that saying Ginger, "Better never late" brings a smile as I imagine what Your Grandfather must have been like Much Love!......"Carolina Blue" comes to mind, Celtic Princess.....North Carolina is a gorgeous state...I guess the Azaleas are beautiful right now, so sad with this virus, I know there is the Azalea festival & so many other attractions in NC this time of the year....I've always been fond of the song, "Miss you in Carolina...do you miss me in Tennessee" I forget who sings it but it's a pretty song......Much Love!....Prayers of Protection for All...be Safe, take/ care |
