Good afternoon dear Angels

~Just some thoughts for today~

Thinking of every one, hoping All are doing very well…. I wanted to stop in say hello

I’m busy working here on the farm, taking care of my furbabies, chicks, too and in my more inspirational moments, working on more poetry as time permits and from time to time add a little more writing to a story I’ve also been working on…I may have it completed this time next year ;) :D

It’s raining here this afternoon in Kentucky. It’s a cold rain as usual. I heard someone say the other day…”Kentucky is a beautiful state but they sure get a lot of rain!” LOL I guess I had never really thought about it but I suppose that we do. 

Perhaps that is why the grass is always so gorgeous here? It has that bluish green tint to it. ”Bluegrass State” Don’t you just love the little adages used to describe a place---or some thing Or when Someone gives advice? Can You think of some of the more popular aphorisms still heard today?.....One comes to mind, I’ve often heard it said…

When a marriage, breaks up….. rumors tend to fly…..so and so was caught cheating….Others might say why, they thought the “grass was greener on the other side.” Well, my answer to that, “The grass is greener where you water it, baby!” Think about that!

Where do they come up with some of these “sayings” that have been passed, handed down throughout the years, often considered credible and true….. Usually they’re philosophical in nature, they tend to communicate important truths that are derived from experience or customs maybe both.

“A penny saved is a penny earned” “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” “Early to bed and early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise” And so on and on……….

I’ve been told that I’m “miss holier than thou” on more than one occasion. Not a nice thing to say to someone I know., but instead of getting all hurt or offended, which is a waste of precious energy and time. I simply think to myself……

Ah, I must be doing something right! ;) :D Let’em think of that a while, eh? 

I not only enjoy adages but Proverbs too…...practically the same-----Wisdom, Advice....

And a Wise man once said………”Trust in the Lord with all Your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths. ------Proverbs 9:5—6

Wishing all a great week ahead!....I’m ready for Spring 

Blessings

Blue~

Our seasons now seem all higgley piggley so to speak lol....
Date: 3/8/2020 3:11:00 AM  From Authorid: 998    I love your posts, as always. Yes, our sayings and proverbs say a lot about us and our cultures.

I remember once I sent a birthday card to my dearest grandfather. I knew that I had gotten busy and had mailed the card a little too late for him to have received it on time. Well as fortune would have it, we got to travel to see him the next month. While sitting on his front porch catching up with everything, I said to him ... "hope you got the birthday card I sent. It probably didn't get here on time, but better late than never." He looked at me with his kind eyes and said, "better never late". I remembered his saying from that day forward, and was never late again sending him a card.

And I HATE North Carolina pretty much. I miss Oklahoma.

But you can't beat the weather or the sky!

Date: 4/7/2020 1:30:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 48250    I'm so grateful that those horrific fires have been extinguished...such a horrendous thing to happen...I would love to see You & Australia!....Incredible that You all are experiencing Autumn now while we are just now going into Spring...it's felt like a long time coming....it's been really cold although very thankful there wasn't much snow, much Love!.....I like that saying Ginger, "Better never late" brings a smile as I imagine what Your Grandfather must have been like Much Love!......"Carolina Blue" comes to mind, Celtic Princess.....North Carolina is a gorgeous state...I guess the Azaleas are beautiful right now, so sad with this virus, I know there is the Azalea festival & so many other attractions in NC this time of the year....I've always been fond of the song, "Miss you in Carolina...do you miss me in Tennessee" I forget who sings it but it's a pretty song......Much Love!....Prayers of Protection for All...be Safe, take/ care
