Greetings fellow USMers. It's been a while, so I thought I'd drop a note on my life.
For the last three years I've been working as an Adult Education teacher in Northern California. The work is challenging, but very rewarding. I have to be at work at 0700, and there is always more work to correct. I've been teaching an environmental literacy program, and the principal just told me that I'll be teaching computer skills next semester too.
Being a teacher has its perks. Right now I'm on vacation, while my wife is working. When she found out I was on break, she shook her head and said, "No fair." =)
For the last five months I've been car shopping, and found a really nice Toyota pickup truck, at least it seemed good. After taking it to my favorite mechanic, he found a bunch of things wrong with it, including an illegal air-intake system that would make the truck fail the state smog test. I'm giving the truck back tonight, and seriously toying with the idea of just buying a new one. It would be my first new car in my life, but, maybe it's time.
My wife and I will be celebrating our third anniversary this fall. We're planning on taking a trip up to Ashland, OR, to celebrate. We love Shakespeare, and the green of the northwest will be a nice break.
I miss USM, and will check back in more regularly.
Best to all of you!
