Take that diabetes!! --Dina

So, at my November doctor's appointment, my A1C was 8.2. My Dr. said if it went down at my next appointment, she'd get me off a few meds.
I said, my goal for next appointment is 7.5. Well, my next appointment is Feb. 14th and my A1C is 7.1!!! Ha!!
I've been living with my boyfriend for 5 months now, and having his support has helped me a lot.
He's always making sure I take my medicine, that I eat well, and don't eat a ton of sweets.

Date: 2/12/2019 3:10:00 PM  ( Admin-SS )   Congratulations! I managed to defeat diabetes myself a few years ago! Keep it up!
Date: 2/12/2019 3:25:00 PM  From Authorid: 998    That is really awesome that you are getting this under control. My daughter has been on the keto diet for about a year, and her daily blood sugar readings have gone from 300+ to under 100. Diet and exercise can really change so many ailments.

Date: 3/8/2019 2:49:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 4887    I see her back in May. I was taken off of 2 meds!
Date: 10/8/2024 3:36:00 AM  From Authorid: 27161    this is badass! my diabetes is linked to my stress caused by my PTSD and depression and overall trauam of soemthing that recenly happened to me and I use eating as comfort(I also just love food as you may remember) thanks to my ADHD and Autism ive been going downhill a lot and forgetting to take my meds and check. I need to get back to it, I was even put on ozempic but ive been scared to take it due to how it treats me.
Date: 10/17/2024 9:05:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 4887    I was on ozempic for a month, but then my insurance wouldn’t cover it. I hated it though. I was nauseous for days and I couldn’t even eat, or drink coffee I could only handle fruit and veggies, and cold drinks.
