~Summer's Song~
Such a beautiful sky------
looking up
As a lady hawk cries in midflight------ making her way toward the evening sun
The day is over…long gone
as night is falling
Stars sparkle brightly
As if upon a stage
Dark velvet blue like diamonds
While here in the stillness and quiet
a lady in waiting she poses
Enchanted by the silver moon
amid a magical night…a fragrance of roses
As late evening breeze gentle sway of the trees
Plays a Summer tune
Echoes in the distance
Way out here
Reminding me you were once near
The joy the laughter…..the sadness sometimes
These questions they still linger as you go walking once again through my mind
The dreams……When I dream of you……
My love for you who could possibly measure
You are beside me when I am sleeping
There are memories to treasure forever keeping
When suddenly feeling a caress a soft touch lingers upon my hair
Closing my eyes
but for a moment
I can almost feel you near
Is it my imagination
Words of love whispered upon the wind
How your memory haunts me
Your smile, your face I see clearly
While each night I wait until you come again
When I look around me
The essence of you is every where
Your last kiss upon my lips
I still can recall
Still I wonder if it was love……really love at all
As I sit alone
With the mysteries of the night
Welcoming the embrace of Summer’s Song
