I think it's a sad situation with the tragedy in Virginia.....I'm not even sure what the protest was really all about, perhaps a mixture of issues (??) Still, I believe with everything in me the Southern Confederate Statues, Memorials has "everything" to do with The Civil War, they are Historical., reminders of great Generals of their day who fought for a Cause for what they believed in., and in spite of the loss, they remained Good decent moral people and are reminders to generations after them., that we "MUST" come together, reason together, work together to abolish "Hatred"----It is my belief that these same statues, monuments do not represent separation or prejudice or the lack of love or unity------They are HISTORY, HISTORICAL, Our Country's Heritage regardless whether Good or Bad, it still represents History, the real stories--I also believe that Hillary Clinton and her cronies followers whatever one calls them these days., are behind the devastating events that took place in Virginia and even in South Carolina, and perhaps even other riots, so called protests out of control----when it is clear there were paid protesters bussed to this location to incite the somewhat peaceable protesters already there------Yet our President is Blamed??! Where on earth was that coming from?-----even after he made a statement exclaiming all the "hate groups" are WRONG, Criminals, Thugs when they create division, incite violence and terror----yet, the so called protesters are still not satisfied-they are simply a bunch of spoiled whiney babies that need to go home themselves & stop Complaining---Our President made his point clear---any hate, violence "MUST" be Abolished (Paraphrasing) and as far as the man who deliberately rammed his automobile into the crowd of people, he should be charged with attempted murder and murder when the 32 year old woman died as the result of her injuries sustained during his criminal act-----he held no regard for human life and should spend his life incarcerated (JMHO-------Great post.....T/C |

What he did is horrible and he should be held accountable by respectful honest citizens in a court of law. |

I don't even have words to express how much a loathe him. Honestly, I don't know what I want to happen to him.
Ky, I am one of those spoiled whiney babies, as you so affectionately called me. I will continue to whine until we don't have a president that wants to cut funding that will eliminate the program in my area that provides domestic violence education to children. As a rape and domestic violence survivor I take those things extremely seriously. I will continue to whine until I no long have to worry about what people in my community say about my biracial, SIX YEAR OLD stepson. He's been called a thug, been told he's very well mannered for a "colored boy", and other things that aren't g-rated. I understand why people voted for Trump, some of my close friends are conservative and we have productive conversations all the time. I value their friendship and put great importance on trying to understand their point of view, I think everyone should try it. |

What i don't get is how there can be people who want to strip him of his constitutional rights. He is still an American, and under the 5th amendment it states "no person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury." Momma bug would you like it if you committed a crime and people simple said "oh just throw her in jail for life she doesn't deserve a trial." Under the 6th amendment he is entitled to a lawyer. Unless you want your rights stripped away than don't wish for another person's rights to be taken away because yours can go that easy as well. |

If I had committed a murder I would not be surprised at my rights stripped because I've committed something illegal. |

Sure. Give the bum a trial. But, keep in mind and never lose sight of exactly what it was that he did and hold him accountable. As for me, I don't feel the need to give him three hots and a cot for the rest of his miserable life. |
