I am sorry SEG. The Elanoar Rigby lonely song becomes more precious to me every year. My family is either in the hospital, deceased, or my grumpy hubby (grandpa) is refusing the grandchild. We are merging in fits with my son's family, but they are a night family with night jobs and the child was teethed on going to school, come home and sleep, and then wake up at night with the family about 9 pm until about 2a, take a nap and go to school... and grandpa still has a day job and needs his sleep- not child running till 2 am - I did construct a quiet routine, but he says it's the fact he knows. Anyway I am venting and upset- I thought another person's problem supposedly would make you feel better.  |

I get sad at this time of year as I lost my mother 12yrs ago at this time. Christmas has never been the same for me since...I'm always glad when it is over and done with..I miss my siblings who are estranged and this year my daughter and family are all working over Christmas so I'll see them before and after Christmas..that's life I guess and besides I have a very ill husband and hope that he gets through it ok...*hugs*  |

@celeticruler, I am so sorry for you too! and no, another person's problem does not make me feel better (because it is sad you are dealing with that), but having friends that know how I feel does, if that makes sense. @zema, I can relate as well.  I lost my grandma near Christmas time back in 2004, and ever since then, the relatives became greedy, cruel, and horrible.@priscilla, I agree. sorry to hear that. i haven't celebrated it in years either. and thank you for not minding my ventings online. and thank you. that is good to know. I hope you all have a good holiday this year at least.  |
