Greetings fellow USMers!
A lot has happened since my last post, but the biggest event was on September 4th: I got married!!
It was a sunny day at a local country club, and under the shade of a big oak tree, in front of a small crowd of just our immediate family, I married my girlfriend, Kellie. I had memorized most of my vows, and only had to be prompted twice by the minister. Kellie was a gorgeous bride, wearing a lovely dress that her stepmother picked out for her. She kept up the old tradition of not letting me see her before the ceremony.
After many pictures following the ceremony, we adjourned to a small reception hall. Our wedding cake was white with green trim (Kelly-Green, of course!), with chocolate inside. We did the first dance, of course, to "our song", All of Me, by John Legend.
Following the ceremony, Kellie and I traveled to Nassau, in the Bahamas for a two week Honeymoon. We had a great time. The weather was humid, but the water was warm (80 degrees!), the A/C kept us cool, and we went on many snorkeling trips. Kellie and I even got to swim with sharks at one point (no joke)! Lots of sun, swimming, water-slides, shopping, and tropical nights spent talking about how wonderful it is to be together.
