Russia vs ISIS

So from what I've read, Syrian government asked Russia to intervene with ISIS. In the last 48 hours Russians have ran over 80 air strikes within the last 48 hours. They said they destroyed most of ISIS heavy weapons. What y'all think? ISIS will finally be put to an end? I personally support Russia, fully.

Date: 10/15/2015 11:11:00 PM  From Authorid: 13283    If people only knew the truth . The US government is not fond of telling the truth . Vladamir Putin is one of my heroes . It came out that it was one big lie by George Bush about the weapons of mass destruction in Iraq . There were never weapons of mass destruction in Iraq . Nothing but a lie . The USA has an agenda and it is not to bring democracy to the Middle East . They want to destabilize the Middle East . The US government is nothing but a war monger and they have killed thousands of innocent civilians . They have Iran and Syria on their hit list and Putin has vowed to protect them . I am so glad that Putin is putting a stop to the US governments madness . The US is the one who has destabilized the Middle East and they will continue to do it until they own all the oil in the Middle East . Vladamir is tired of putting up with this garbage , is fed up and taking things into his own hands . There is a reason the USA is disliked worldwide . They want to act like a bully and promote war and more war . This is so against what Jesus taught us . Oh heavenly Father protect Syria and Iran from the ill will of the United States of America . They have no business sticking their nose in Middle East affairs . Amen !

Donald Trump said it best . Let Russia take care of Isis . The United States has no business being over there .

Date: 10/16/2015 11:52:00 AM  From Authorid: 52489    ISIS has one great advantage in that they are not a government or even a nation, they are a movement. They have no real national borders, and coalesce wherever they have large numbers of followers. One of their key weaknesses, however, is that their method of staying in power is Perpetual War--they are in constant conflict with the rest of the world. There is no end to the fighting and atrocities, only ever-increasing numbers of murders and suicide bombings, with the constant argument that they are fighting for a religious cause. But even other Muslims decry the deaths and methods.

No, I don't think Russia will be the destroyer of ISIS. Eventually, I think, ISIS is going to run out of both followers and willpower. The human psyche simply cannot cope with endless warfare and horror. Psychologists the world over say that the children of ISIS (and even young bystanders) are being exposed to terrible trauma. Both they and their parents are going to be afflicted with PTSD and lots of other psychiatric problems. Added to which, ISIS cannot function as a government. Reports from those who live under their rule say that people live under near medieval conditions, with no regular electricity or running water. Even taking a walk outside can be a fatal experience, as people are abducted and hustled off to the front lines, or to torture and execution for all kinds of imaginary crimes.

I'm reminded of a line from Inherit the Wind, "Intolerance and fanaticism is a ravenous beast which is never satisfied and needs constant feeding!"

Sorry i had to.

Date: 10/31/2015 8:43:00 AM  From Authorid: 63575    First I have to say that Putin is a strong believer of Stalin's regime - more dictatorship than communism. Second, the people in the middle east have been fighting for centuries, just because we don't see it in the news doesn't mean they aren't still fighting. How often do we here Gaza firing rockets into Israel these days? It is still happening, not to mention mass shootings and stabbings... Just because you don't see it in mainstream press doesn't mean it's not happening. In terms of chemical weapons in Iraq, YES they were there. However, when we finally moved in all we found was resadue from the wmd's because Hussein used them on the Kurds. We didn't know that until Obama because no one looked to investigate. It was believed that Saddam would use them on us, not on his own people. One has to remember the Kurds Sunnus and Shiites are three groups that dislike each other in the extreme. Putin is just another dictator.
