lol, this is funny. I haven't gone to my old posts in years, but I remember always coming to USM to let off my steam. No matter what relationship issue, or if I had a crush on someone, it was always posted on here, and it was typical Teen stuff. I was so naive then.... |
Date: 10/23/2014 7:02:00 PM From Authorid: 63026 I used it as a journal, and to vent too. I look back on the 1999-2001 posts and see so many people here, and I wonder what they would do or think if they knew it was still up and running, and not really changed. |
Date: 10/24/2014 10:28:00 AM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 56297 I guess I wasn't the only one who used USM to vent. Has the membership really dwindled a lot since those days? How many active members do you estimate are left? |

To me it goes to show that teenagers go through so much and can only see what life is like for them, through their eyes. Which is normal. My point is that you just need to get to the other side of being a teenager, into adulthood to know that life isn't all that bad. Your journal type posts could serve as a help to struggling teenagers. It would be good if you could print them off, including your posts that you've done as an adult. Make a booklet out of them. Or direct kids to the posts when giving out adult type advice, saying, "Look, I felt just like you did. Trust me, it gets better." Too many teenage suicides because they just can't fathom that life will get better for them. Breaks my heart, because as an adult, I know if they just hung on, they'd get through it. |

Date: 10/26/2014 9:42:00 AM From Authorid: 28848 Nothing too bad I guess. A few arguments with a few other members every once in a while. But I always apologized and made amends after. Over-sharing, definitely. Like you, I too used USM as a diary and place to vent. It was good therapy though, and I'm not ashamed of any of it. My naivety in the past is just embarrassing though. I've learned a lot throughout my internet years. I can still be really naive compared to others though because of my isolated lifestyle. |

Date: 10/27/2014 10:21:00 AM From Authorid: 43015 Considering when I joined USM I was 11 years old and am now 24, I cringe at all the things I posted! I avoid looking at them because it's too embarrassing! |

I used to be so faithful to my USM girlfriend , that I would turn down girls in real life . I missed out on some good things . Darn ! |
