Not to fall in love again
Not to look into your eyes and see
What one day might have been

Understand the darkest parts of me
And ignore the dust and dirt that lies within

When you reach deep into my soul
And pull out an excitement
Desire I've hardly known
Sometimes I want to hate you
Push you down and run away
Because it gets harder to love you with each passing day
Sometimes I want to punch you
Others I would die to kiss your lips
I don't know if I should trust you
Believe the words you say
I'm waiting for that sign
Looking to the stars
It's hard not to love you
Because I know it might be wrong
But my heart will fight this battle
Until this love is gone
