Choose your college major carefully- look to the future and consider job prospects and try to work your passion into something that makes sense. Be aware of your behavior and your environment- the things you say and do are not inconsequential. Somebody notices. |

Date: 2/12/2014 6:23:00 AM From Authorid: 64365 Know yourself, and know your enemy...you just might discover you are your own enemy. Make sure you are always your own best friend. Strive for the best YOU that you can possibly be. Be kind to animals, children younger than you, little old ladies and gentlement, and MAKE your parents pay attention to you without you having to get into trouble to do it...after all, you've got to train them to be good parents and you can't do it by ignoring them, or letting them ignore you. Interject your wisdom into conversations with your parents. They were young, once, but in a different era. Social issues might not have changed, but there's new stuff out there you're parents don't really know about, so they need your guidance. Above all, respect and love your parents as much as you can, as they are clueless about a lot of things you are going through. Be gentle. They are fragile. And, if they do anything at all to hurt you, make sure you call someone to come help straighten them out. |

Date: 2/14/2014 9:00:00 AM From Authorid: 11097 There is so many things I could think to say, but what I needed to hear when I was a teenager is that no matter how bad things get, there is always a better choice, someone who cares, and a new and bright tomorrow. Your choices create the person you become- always do things with an open heart and mind. And listen more than you speak! :0) |
