I posted a few weeks ago about losing my job. What a blessing that turned out to be.
I have drawn umemployment for 4 weeks so far, but the GOOD news is that I got a new job. I will be working for FedEx tracking packages lost in customs and helping our customers get their packages released. As you can imagine, I am VERY excited. Of course, I will be making more money than I did at my last job. Also, I will get full benefits including 401k and 3 weeks a year paid vacation. The hiring manager told me that I should have no problems moving up the ladder quickly since I have managerial experience.
I don't start training until the 11th of November, but I'm ok with that. In fact, I'm actually happy about it. When my boys were born, I wasn't able to take much time off. I've worked non stop their entire short lives. I'm going to take this time off to make up for that.
Just wanted to share my good news with everyone. I prayed and prayed that I would find something better than my last job. Something I will want to stick with.
