Beach Wedding Attire

Hey guys! I'm going to an evening beach wedding in November (well, actually just the reception) and I just want some opinions on my current outfit choice. I'm planning on wearing a thin, blue argyle v-neck sweater...similar to this:

On mine, the middle diamond row is white. I wanted to pair it with a pleated khaki skirt, sheer white stockings, and blue pumps similar to these, but with a 3 inch heel:

I can definitely walk in 3 inch heels since they're not high, but do you think I'd run into issues? Like I said, we're going to the reception...I don't think the reception is on the beach but I don't know. What if I get stuck in the sand? But I love this outfit and want to wear heels! Lol I just don't know what to do! But before I get too set on wearing this, is this even appropriate or would I be underdressed or out of place?

I know I'm making a big deal out of this, but it's my first time meeting my fiancee's family (they live in another state, not that he was hiding me from them or anything LOL) and I want to make a good impression!

I agree with Aussie Girl. Barefoot on the beach, because heals will just sink into the sand and get all mushy. Bag your heals for dancing later at the reception. Love the outfit, it says casual and yet sophisticated all at the same time. Hope you have fun at the wedding!!!

I can't imagine a reception being actually on the sandy beach in the evening?? but take a pair of flat sandal type shoe just in case or as others have suggested, barefoot!!!
