Good morning USM. Now I am not big into the April Fool's Jokes but I must admit my husband got me good, and well I wasn't amused at all but maybe you will be.\
My husband calls me at 9am and tells me he got a call from the IRS and that my business is being audited. I have 2 weeks until they come to our business to get all my paperwork together, make sure not a single reciept, mileage, or anything is missing. Oh, and make sure I get a tax attourney too. (First, I should have realized the IRS would call me about the business being audited not him since I am the owner but for some reason I figured that since he did the taxes for me they contacted him).
Now I keep everything (OCD about keeping receipts, invoices, ect) but I must admit I just kinda have things in folder based on the month, they aren't organized by example: Jan. 1, Jan. 2... it's more like Jan. 2 Jan. 30 Jan. 15, when it comes to my receipts in the folders (although it's a lot better organized in my QuickBooks and Excel sheets). Well I am freaking out going through each folder organizing and comparing it to my Quickbooks and realizing "shot I am missing a couple receipts for gas, or for tools, ect". So I started to freak out getting all nervous.
So about an hourish later I call my husband and say, "Okay you need to come home tell work it's a family emergency we need to get on top of this right now. OMG."
All of sudden on the other end of the phone he is laughing. "Hahahahaha, I so got you. April Fool's!"
Needless to say, my husband will be sleeping on the couch for the rest of the week. So anyone have an April Fool's joke played on them? Or did you play a good one on someone else?
