I sincerely apologize, I keep forgetting to write about what I have been doing. Things are going extremely well. As of Feb. 10, I am down 9.6 lbs (almost 10 lbs) yay!! Still a long way from my goal but I feel fantastic! Very excited to continue to make progress. My food choices are improving, but I still have my cheat day one day a week (although this past week I did take 2 cheat days because I went out to lunch with a friend to Applebee's and then another day went to lunch with hubby- although that was Subway so it wasn't all too bad). The heartburn hasn't been much of an issue at all. I mean I have had it a handful of times in the last month, mainly if I forget to eat breakfast, so I just have to stay on top of that.
My workouts have stayed fairly consistent. I do at least a little something everyday. I am not making it to Planet Fitness as much as I like, but I keep basing my schedule over a friend who I let come with me on my black card membership and she keeps bailing out. So I have decided that she is on her own now, if she really wants to go she will need her own membership because I want to stick to a solid routine.
I am loving Crossfit and feeling more confident about how I am performing each day. I have come a long way in the last 5 weeks. I am more flexible, stronger, and have better endurance. It is absolutely wonderful. It's been a long time since I have felt this good about myself or my ability to do things. It is also very helpful that I like my coach and that he doesn't mind me stopping to talk to him at the end of workouts about how I feel I am doing. It's nice to have a support system.
Thursday, I did 3 mile bike at gym.
Friday Crossfit day:
Warm up (3 sets)
10 pull up swings
10 push ups
15 Air Squats
inch worm across each side of gym
10x pidgins and down dogs (stretches)
Skills: 3 rounds
10 ring dips (I did this with low rings one leg on the ground since I don't have the strength to get above rings yet)
Double Unders (2 mins to attempt- this is 2 jumps within one swing of the jump rope. I have still not achieved this although I got some nice welts on my legs trying lol)
10 box jumps (OMG I was so excited I used a higher box. First time I used 12" box this time I did 16" box) Yay for improvement!
MetCon for time:
2000 meter row (OMG this was so much hard than I thought! Time 10 mins. 44 seconds)
Then used the roller to roll out any sore muscles
Saturday: From Home
I did 20 medicine ball squats
I did my stepper I have 20 times up/down
Sunday:
I didn't really do anything. Other than shovel, which is a little workout at least especially with a foot of snow.
Monday: Crossfit Day

15 Air Squats
Hams to Plow x20 (Stretch)

Strength
5x3 Dead Lifts (I did 153 lbs. last time I did 123 lbs. That is a 30 lb improvement and it felt good. I don't think I will try to push past this next week just maintain it because it was tough.)

ME Box Jumps (16" box did 6 jumps in the remaining 19 seconds)
…Rest 1 min…
In 3 min…
200 single unders

…Rest 1 min…
In 3 min…
500m Row (Took 2 mins. 49 seconds)
ME Wall Ball (14 lb wall ball. Did 2 wall balls in the remaining 11 seconds)
Stayed after and did another 20 wall balls to make up for lack of having time to do a few after last row.
Finished off with:
Hollow Rocks (you lay on your back and get yourself to roll back in forth with arms and legs off ground. I am not very good at this. We were suppose to do 4 sets of 25. I did 5 sets of 10.)
I am feeling pretty good this morning. My row time has improved. Originally 500 meters took me 2 mins 59 seconds the last time I did it for time. Improved by almost 20 seconds). Improved my dead lift by 30 lbs. The box jumps are getting easier. So all is going well! Excited! Very excited!
I am feeling so good I am treating myself. I am making pancakes and turkey sausage. :) YUM!!
Later today going to Planet Fitness to get some cardio in. Bike or Jog we will see, probably bike since that is what I prefer.
I hope I continue to improve. I hope I continue to enjoy this as much as I am. I also hope that I continue to get over my fears (big one being I always worry I might get hurt)
Well that's all for now. Hope everyone enjoys their Monday. Have a good one!
