Wow.what a scooby doo Dream. The seventies was such a laid back time( for childhood, not adults) Fat Albert on Saturday mornings.Sigmond and the seamonster, three channels.no cable. turn dial Telephones, kids outside actually playing baseball or building a treehouse. That was the last gasp of slower paced America. Now it's the Internet.twitter. facebook.too much information. maybe your dream was symbolic of our longing for less background noise. Jughead67 |

Date: 11/29/2012 10:04:00 AM From Authorid: 64702 It's so bad to dream of someone you remember so cool and disconsorting you turning evil before your eyes it make you feel sad too seeing them like that. I too was a kid in the '70's and you're probably an '80's teen like me. You like me probably yerned to have been a teen back then instead,if you like me remember even that the older boys/girls seemed to have had alot of fun back then and we wished to be old enough to have join them. Lets hope it's not a promonition that you'll be informed about something not so good about that old friend these days. I've heard some not so good things about a few classmates of mine have turned into. Danny3 |
Date: 12/5/2012 6:58:00 PM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 62956 Thanks for all the great comments! I remember the 70's and I really have to say it was like a completely different world than what we live in now. People were different, the feel of the time was different, everything felt more positive and upbeat. I like these kind of dreams where there are such vivid details that it forces me to remember even long after the majority of the dream has faded. You know, after thinking about it, that one friend that turned evil right before my eyes, I have to say that as he turned evil, he began to look more and more like me as a teenager which is a scary thought on my end. I remember we had real adventures out there in the 70's and 80's without any electronics. Sure there were arcade games but they were at the arcade and you had to physically go there to play them and hang out with friends. About as hi-tech as we got was a walkman with several cassettes stuck in our pockets and hope that the batteries were ok. If you've ever seen the beginning of Fast Times at Ridgemont High in the arcade scene and also the movie, "Nightmares" the trilogy, the second story with Emilio Estevez as a arcade game whiz both of those are exactly like how the times looked. Again, thanks all for the assessments and kind words to all! |
