This is my sister's story, yes it really happened to her.
I was there. I'm the little sister so of course I was always there. Ahaha
This was back in the 90s.
You know... time of the epic grunge bands, trips, band t's, babydoll t's... and.... well... you get the picture.
The Story: It was late that night when my sister snuck into the living room to phone her friend.
She didn't dare cut on a light nor talk above a whisper for the simple fact, the wrath of our mama woulda been scary haha.
anyway, She sat across from the door and the double windows, dressed in her PJs. The drapes were pulled back enough just to allow a small stream of light to shine though from the outside street light.
Her and her friend were talking about all kinds of things.
..and you know when you are on the phone, your eyes tend to roam, just looking at everything?
thats what she was doing.......least till she saw someone in front of her.
On the couch across from her, she saw a girl..staring right back at her. She was sitting up straight in an emerald green prom dress, her hair in a high up-do..... It was herself.
Her eyes got wide and her voice caught.
Her friend was still on the other end: "Hey! Hey! are you th-" click.
My sister was scared out of her wits.
Never taking her eyes off the Doppelganger, she walked to the light switch.
She cut it on real fast, it was gone. She cut the light off, still gone.
She walked over to were the phone was plugged in...... It had been ripped out the socket.
She plugged it in and right as she did, it rang.
Nearly jumping out of her skin she answered, "Hello!?"
it was her friend again, "Why did you hang up!?"
she sat there and told her friend what had happened.
Creepy stuff eh? Theres a part 2 to this.... cuz she saw the doppelganger again not to long after that.

My sisters real prom dress she had got? .....was that emerald green dress.
