I said the same thing when I came back, after I lost my internet for a year or so. It took me awhile to get used to the slower pace. The one good thing is that having less people here, means we all get to know each other better. But, like you, I do miss the old USM. And since the $5 fee was lifted, things have begun to pick up again. But as for me, I've been here so many years, and I'm not going anywhere, as long as I can keep my internet on at least.  |

People leave USM on their own... people get busy in life... people are still here in the shadows... and some aren't in the shadows... I think in general it is a matter of sometimes there's a lot of people showing their faces and others there is now  |

This site is enduring because the people here still love it; we all need to pick up the pace with some posts and comments. It's still the same USM, but people have grown up or are busy with their lives. I know when I joined I was in high school, I am 27 now. But USM has always been a 'home' for me on the internet and I sure hope it's not going anywhere. Maybe we just need a few more volunteers to start up chat again, or groups, etc.  |
