Could have it been my uncle?

Hello everyone. I am new to USM so bare with me.

Back in 2002 my Uncle Dickie went into the hospital for surgery. What type of surgery I don't know anymore. Back then I heard open heart but my family can't seem to give me the right facts. September 11, 2002 after coming home from school my Aunt Evie called and told us he was doing well. Later that night she called back again and gave us the bad new he had passed away.

The day of his funeral while the minister was talking the microphone kept falling down. Now the microphone they had are kinda like the lamps they have now a days with the five lights. Looks like spider legs and you can bend them which every way you can. They stay put well. I heard my sister say "That would be a trick my uncle would play." He always used to goof around. I remember he had a red Ford stick shift pick up truck and to be funny he would shift and then grab my knee to tickle me.

Almost 4 years after he passed away. I am not sure if it was in February or March. I wasn't home at the time as I had to work. My aunt and a few other family members were outside my parent's house doing a yearly thing we did butchering a pig. They had the pig halves hanging up yet outside. Just the ribs and legs. They went into the butcher shop to do a few things and warm up. They went back outside to get the rest of the pig and found on the inside of the ribs my cousin Roy and Kay's initals written in marker.

None of my family members confessed to doing it and I know none of them would have been that cruel to have done that to my aunt. My aunt was diagnosed with a disease that makes you go blind after my uncle passed. She is also diabetic and has a hard time keeping her blood sugar under control. It would have been such a mean trick for one of our family members to pull on her. As of today she is almost completely blind. My family members said none of them did it. I wasn't home to witness it but thats what my dad told me.

My aunt supposably kept the pig ribs in her freezer but I never thought of to ask her about it.

How it changed my life:

Hasn't really changed my life. Just feel may be my uncle is watching over my aunt and cousins. Also may have been goofing around in spirit at his own funeral.

Date: 9/13/2011 8:23:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 65040    I know some might find butchering gross and I am vey sorry. I grew up on a farm and its something we do every year but since my uncle passed it hasn't been the same. We do it differently now. I still miss him. Many memories.
Date: 9/14/2011 6:37:00 AM  From Authorid: 15157    That is very strange indeed...my feelings are...not all the facts were displayed to those wondering.
Surely strange things happened attributed to the paranormal.

I saw my neighbor throw a whole one on his BBQ pit once...I was abit shocked but intrigued.

Date: 9/14/2011 6:04:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 65040    Yes I know it is a very strange situation. I even couldn't believe it but it's very like my uncle. He loved to butcher. I really thought about it and I still don't think any of my family members could have been cruel enough to pull a prank on my aunt like that. I just heard the story from my dad I didn't get to see the initals myself. I never thought of to ask my aunt about it or to see it because I don't want it to be a sore subject. We wouldn't have meat in stores if it wasn't for butchering. My uncle and aunts son does pig roasts too but not a whole pig. I'm glad for that. lol I could understand the gross part. I couldn't eat pork roast if it was the whole pig.
Date: 10/10/2011 8:26:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 65040    I miss him lots. But he will always be remembered. Never will forget going and helping him and my dad harvest his farm. It was always so much fun.
Date: 10/10/2011 8:29:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 65040    Sometimes I wonder if he has showed he has been watching after that and we just haven't noticed yet. I am sure he is watching over my aunt and his daughter and son...as well has his two pretty grandaughters. Sad his youngest grandaughter never got to meet him but if she would ask me about him I'd say he was a funny caring man. Like her I never met my grand parents. Four of them died before I was born and one past away when I was just a few months old.
