Handy Household Tips and Tricks

Years ago, I used to post household tips every week. Obviously, I've decided to start again. :)

*To keep your extension cords from getting tangled, insert them into a empty toilet paper roll to store.

*Place a piece of white chalk in your silver chest or jewel box to absorb moisture and help prevent tarnishing of silverware and jewelry.

*Use top-quality typewriter correction fluid to cover nicks, chips, and scratches on enameled ranges and refrigerators, porcelain tiles, and sinks. Works like a charm and it comes in a variety of colors.

Date: 7/15/2011 7:20:00 AM  From Authorid: 15157    Got any tips on covering up a holes that were burned in my fake woodfloor..its not linolium its that other stuff that looks like wood. My son was putting some glue on his tennis shoes and some dripped onto the floor and when it was wiped it had burned to blisters into the wood. We wiped harder and now there are two holes and we can see the floor underneath.

Date: 7/15/2011 7:19:00 PM  From Authorid: 34663    all we need to do now is get a time machine and go back in time when you can get typewriter correction fluid, a better idea for that is to use nail polish since the correction fluid isn't easy to find these days you would have to go to a specialty store
