I'm down in south Texas, Sunshine. We have a burn ban in effect, also. The older people say they have not seen the like of this drought in eighty years. It rained once in May, once in June, and nothing in July, so far. Up to a $2,000.00 fine for doing fireworks. Write on.....  |

Fireworks are banned over here for the average person to buy but for organisations that hold controlled fireworks it is allowed...  |

Hey well same for South Texas it seems...San Antonio is almost in Stage 3 Water Restrictions....we might have to start showering with our neighbors or something lol. Maybe washing our dog will be banned...they will soon make us let our plants and trees die in effort to stave off us all dieing of thirst!
Texas is now the New Dust Bowl of the United States.
No Boom Booms for us either...they have made all the Kids cry and Adults sad.  |

The ground is so dry now...even if it were to rain again...that would not be enough to raise our burn ban....Its better to be safe than sorry. |

Melinda, I agree, I've heard a lot of people here asking how they can get fire works, I tell them, I don't know but I wouldn't be dumb enough to try considering the fines you will get if you are caught with them. I really haven't cared for them after what happened that one year with chris, talk about a scare!  |

kari, no joke the chris thing scared me to..a few years back danny was holding a romen candle and it scared me so much i thought i was going to pee myself. lol its kinda funny now but that was a scary night. i still tell people about it. |

Oh melinda, I do too, it was a horrible situation!! Man I still remember it like yesterday, I don't remember how fast I was driving to the hospital but it felt like 150, lol. What a learning experience, and a way to see who your friends are! I love you! |

yes it made me mad how none of his "friends" would even bother to take him. they were so dumb. i hope all of them learned something. its sad chris doesnt like me anymore.lol oh well  |
