I'm so excited! I know I can do this!

As most of you know, I work in home health. I had to take on a second job because one of my clients passed away. My second job is Dairy Queen. I don't like the job, but I'd filled out A LOT of applications and DQ was the first offer I got. I really wasn't in a position to be picky. It's paying the bills and helping us get ahead (I was off work for 7 months for health reasons after my baby was born and that ate all our savings). One of the jobs I applied for was at an animal hospital. It was for general work like cleaning up and stuff. I got a call a few days ago (it's been a month since I applied) and they told me the position had been filled. The lady I spoke to, Sharon, said she thought I was overqualified for the job I'd applied for. She said they have a position open for a vet tech. She thinks that the experience I have with home health will carry over to the vet tech position. She wants me to come in for an interview next week. I think this will be a wonderful experience for me if I get the job. I'll get free training (of course, I'll get paid for the training) and a wonderful opportunity. The hours will also allow for me to keep working my first job. As I said, I really dislike DQ. Sharon said that she will be glad to wait for me (if I get the job) so I can give 2 weeks notice at DQ. I want to do things right and she respects that. I'm so excited. Please send good thoughts/prayers my way. I really want and need this opportunity. I know it's something I will be great at and enjoy!
