Sounds like you're living in the lap of Mother Nature! I've been noticing that the birds are nesting earlier, and producing more chicks. The rain is also lasting longer here, much more clouds and cold weather. I used the heater last night, which I usually shut off in early April. All quite unusual. |

Man, I can dig it, Smokin' Joe! Time of plenty, for sure. Things are growing pretty well down here. About all we're lacking is rain. Thanks for sharing. Write on....... |

Great post Joe, the weather patterns have got all the vegies, trees, fruits not knowing whats going on and either growing in abundance or shrivelling up when they should be in their peak...and talking about hip and bone pains, geez I know I'm old but my back pain has been terrible...so we are all affected along with everything else lol...so we enjoy what we can in life because we don't know what tomorrow will bring... |

Those whiporwills drive me crazy at night. They are constant. Many places in this area are overcome with cicadas now. Thank God, we have narrowly managed to miss it. I read in the newspaper, the cicadas are so thick in Pulaski, that their decibel number of noise is equivalent to a lawn mower. |

YES. My neck has had a crook in it and my low back dull pain was agonizing yesterday. As I write, my outer thighs are sore and achy.
As far as an abundance in nature, I just think that it is a sign to get prepared for what is to come . . .
God Bless. |

I don't live in an area of NC where grapes are grown, so I can't really contribute here. I wish I had more natural scenery around. |

Awesome post as always Joe, it's great to see you....I sit on my porch swing here in Kentucky's beautiful misty Appalachian mountains listening to the Whippoorwills every night, they are wonderful little birds, makes me think of that song Randy Travis sang about Love lasting longer than the song of a Whippoorwill...that sure is long Just the other day, I heard a Bobwhite, I hadn't heard one of those little guys in about 15 yrs. I've noticed the rabbits, & lot's of turkeys too.... I enjoy hearing the little noise they make so much that I now have my very own turkey caller ....feel better soon & have a wonderful day!.....T/C |
