"..is he really dead or are they just saying that so everyone will drop the subject." Don't know where you've been, but the subject of Bin Laden was slowly dropped quite some time ago. And a lot of U.S. citizens, broken families, got a small piece of closure yesterday...let them have that.  |

All of the world has heard about bin Laden's death. If his death was a fake, then I don't think the Taliban would be so quiet about the situation. They would be stepping up with proof that bin Laden was still alive. I think one reason his body was disposed of so quickly was so that the Taliban wouldn't come in to get his body. The Taliban has already said they are planning to get revenge. It's no telling what they will come up with. I'm sure not making any plans to travel or to be in a large crowd any time soon.  |

I really believe the Navy Seals killed him yesterday... Our Government and Intellegience agencies were watching the action unfold, and we had solid proof through Osama's corriour that he was there. Plus the fact that we buried him at sea was the fact the US went by muslim tradition to bury the body in 24 hours and no country wanted his body. If the terrorists want to retaliate that's only going to make us stronger as a nation to ending terrorism. Were bombing Libya, and we'll just keep on bombing 'em and sending our forces after them 'til we kill and capture all the terrorists.  |

PG, I think the muslim tradition for burial is to bury one with the head toward Meca. Burial in the sea is done when one perishes in the sea. It seemed more proper to me if the US would have turned his body over to his family & let them deal with where to bury him?? |

Whether his body is there or not, they will most likely build memorials dedicated to him over there anyway, but we can't stop them. As long as they don't build it here, then go for it. |

I thought this was all very convenient that Obama announced he wants to run for a second term, there's all this turmoil in the Middle East, in Libya and Syria, this almost "clears" the way for us to put all our troops there...I don't know if it even matters that we killed him. Honestly, there's so many other terrorist factions and we have so many problems here in the US we need to solve!!! I'm proud if they did in fact kill Osama, but let's get it together now, bring some troops home, and start fixing OUR problems.  |

They disposed his body at sea for several reasons, but the main two seem to be, no one wanted him buried on their soil. Seriously, if he had his own grave, imagine how all the freaks would be glorifying over that grave daily. Secondly, getting rid of the body was the best move possible, that way no one can try to "negotiate" for it back by taking American hostages. I at first was a bit skeptical, but I'm goign to trust he is dead and breath a sigh of relief.  |

PsyGuy, you are describing a really creepy "reality show" where the "real people" are actors playing their script. No one is undermining our troops. They are, unfortunately, the background scenery in this unwatchable parody of REAL LIFE. I, too, thought bin Ladin was long dead; the man had life-threatening medical issues all along. And, as with Paddy, WHAT? They threw his body in the ocean? Come on, whoever wrote this script belongs in the cartoon department. What did this whole episode distract you from? A picnic? A game of ball with your nephew? Mundane paperwork? Hmmmm. "Reality shows" really are never as good as REAL LIFE. God Bless.  |

I say release the photo of his death. I don't give what the radicals think, they hate us already. If the American Media can show the graphic images of our own people dying on 9-11, then we can show one picture of Osama gunshot wound to the head. We see it all the time on tv shows. Release the photo and get it over with.... Plus If this generation was around in World War 2...would we believed Hitler killed himself in a bunker... I bet we would of wanted to see the body...Oh wait they burned his body soon after they discovered it.... I guess Hitler, Elvis, and Osama are still hanging out somewhere |

deb 9-11 was the perfect movie script... Three of the four planes hitting their targets.... The last plane(like always in the movies) is saved by the heroics of the passengers. Bush getting the news in a school in front of kids, and the secret ear whisper. Norad conducting hijack simulations on the very same day.... I don't really know much about this, since I don't live in America. But I do believe that the troops killed Osama. Every since the news broke out that he got killed there have being hundreds of conspiracy theories. Some believe in died in 2001 due to his health problems. But with all the aside I am just glad that the victims of 9/11 got a little bit of justice with this news. I also agree with showing the picture. They did show Saddam's hanging live on air, so why can't they show a picture?  |

If he wasn't dead, he'd post a video with today's newspaper with a comment like, "Nice try" I'm pretty much convinced he's dead. I hope that the computers and various other things that were collected at his compound lead to the capture or elimination of other top terrorists. I also hope that we get the heck out of the middle east and stay out. It's killing our economy. Let them make war on each other for the next couple of decades.  |
