Weird Futuristic Cartoon

This dream was so abstract, I don't even know where to start. I know my father and myself were in this dream and we were in the midst of a battle between insects and some other animals that are difficult to describe. The insects looked like they were made out of wire and a gold color and the other animals were luminous with a greenish-blue tinge to the light. The dream was like a cartoon because nothing seemed real. It was similar to the old Masters of the Universe animation back in 1983. There was a moat that we were trying to cross and somehow my father ended up going to the other side and activating a "bridge". This bridge was the most awesome thing to see. It was a segmented luminous sky blue bridge that looked like it was made of light. As I was crossing it, the insects and animals were also and started fighting all around me. I was stabbed and blasted a few times but I made it across. They were shorter than me but still it hurt because I remember yelling when they got me. Once across, a golden dragonfly started telling us something in this digital sounding language and invited us to ride on his back which I thought (in the dream) was totally ridiculous because he was about the size of a real dragonfly. I turn around to look at the battle and then turn back and the dragonfly is like the size of a small airplane. My father and I hitch a ride on his back and then we start heading to the top of the castle where the fighting is going all around. At the very top, a witch is holding a girl against her will. She looks quite beautiful and frightened. The dragonfly stopped at a window and let me get off and then flew away with my father. The witch upon seeing me let out a laugh and held out her hand which had a black ball about the size of a basketball. This ball suddenly opened eight eyes and eight legs grew out of it forming a huge spider. The last thing I remember was jumping at the witch and the spider jumping at me...

It was entertaining to say the least although I'm not sure what it could possibly mean, if anything, as I had not been watching any cartoons... lately, that is... :)
