How often do you lose things? - - KRISTA - -

I've been going through a long streak of "OH NO WHERE DID IT GO I'M GONNA DIEEEEEEEEEEE oh it's right there" for the past month or so. I lost my remote recently, which was terrible, because I can't change the channels by hand. My "special" TV has to be changed via remote, so I was stuck on the Cartoon Network for a really long time and it was pretty unpleasant. I also just lost my mp3 player, so it's quiet and I am without music. Sad times. I know it's a weird thing to get flustered over, but you know how materialistic teenagers are. Heh.

Anyway, do you folks lose things often? More importantly, do you inevitably freak out the second you realize you don't know where it is (ahem, me)? Or, are you level-headed because you're good at finding things? Share with me, humans.

Also, if you have any idea where I put my mp3, I'll be happy to hear. :p

-Krista, duuuuuude

Date: 1/15/2011 1:29:00 AM  From Authorid: 37843    Check the shelf for your mp3 player... I've lost stuff a lot here lately. I don't freak out over it unless it is something very important like my keys when I'm running late. The way I see it is that freaking out doesn't help find what I'm looking for.
Date: 1/15/2011 2:50:00 AM  From Authorid: 53054    I lose things all the time - My work keys, my car keys, my remote etc. and then I just dont know where things are, until I find them and then I wonder how I ever did without them (ipod, mobile ect). I always ask my partner where the remote is - he usually finds things fast - also at work I play games with the kids to try and find my keys (they had them in the first place LOL) but apart from that I dont lose much LOL! Hope you find what you have lost soon
Date: 1/15/2011 3:12:00 AM  From Authorid: 42945    I don't class it as losing things LOL I call it misplacing hehehehee and I do it oftenl but always considered it my age, but, then again I did when I was younger also...I do eventually find them, maybe not at the time but I do come across them again ...hat about down the side of the lounge chair? for your remote or mp3 player...look through pockets...go back to the place where you can remember you last had them?
Date: 1/15/2011 7:55:00 AM  From Authorid: 43991    I'm constantly loosing things.. I'm better now that I'm being treated for my ADD though, lol. It's crazy but it makes a big difference. I recently lost the remote to our garage though.. and we only have two so it's kinda a big deal. Everyone is mad at me, but I can't help it! It was right in my seat in my car and then it was gone. Weird!
Date: 1/15/2011 8:38:00 AM  From Authorid: 21903    Alll...the...time! I lose stuff so much! I can relate with the remote thing...I was stuck on tnt for over a day once! Lol! Sometimes I flip out when I lose things...always depends on WHAT I've lost (and if I'm mood swingy at the moment). If I lost my keys or phone I usually tear through my apartment looking for them...mp3 player I usually let go so I can calm down and think about where I might have put it...

Try looking for your mp3 player in....the.....couch cushions? Bathroom? Or maybe on a messy desk or dresser in your room. Also, if you switch purses often, check all pockets on the purses you use...that's usually where I lose all my stuff! Good luck!

Date: 1/15/2011 4:15:00 PM  From Authorid: 4144    check your blankets on your bed! you don't make your bed do you?!!
Date: 1/15/2011 5:05:00 PM  From Authorid: 28848    I don't lose things that often but when I do I tend to take a systematic approach to finding them. I retrace steps and previous actions, revisit areas etc. Normally everything turns up eventually.
Date: 1/20/2011 9:35:00 AM  From Authorid: 53427    I just had to hunt for my mp3 player last night I have fibromyalgia. So forgetfulness kinda goes along with the symptoms. Its called fibro fog. I'm especially bad with keys.
Date: 1/20/2011 5:58:00 PM  From Authorid: 46486    I do it on a daily basis with like important things. Example, where did I put my car keys?!?! I have to go work right now and can't go anywhere without something turning the ignition.

This whole losing things lately is almost a daily basis for a very long time now. I know how you feel....
